Very friendly and clean hotel. Staff very caring and happy. Rooms we cleaned daily and kept well stocked of tea coffee and toiletries. The only downful we had was that one morning breakfast was not hot and the one night that we had a evening meal was a bit disappointed with it and also staff seemed to rush you. Hotel... More

Just had two nights B&B here on business - friendly and efficient, good price for pricey York (few minutes walk to railway, old city centre) and a quality full English breakfast. On a quiet street. Cosy bar. I didn't have dinner, can't comment, but lots of choice near hotel

Warm friendly staff, clean rooms, comfy beds and a short walk into town. We went to York to meet up with family for the afternoon,we only stayed one night but had a lovely welcome (and a few drinks in the bar later in the evening). Breakfast served within 10 minutes despite being very busy. Will stay here again in the future.

Travelled with a friend, both of us 25. Hotel was in a great location, a short walk from the city centre with free parking facilities available on the car park and on the road outside. Staff were very friendly and the room was very big with decent size bathroom. Everything was very clean and tidy and the price also included... More

This hotel was booked for me for a business trip. Although only 2 star it was lovely and warm, very clean with good bed linen and towels. The towels had a fresh smell, not the stale odour you sometimes find. There was everything needed in the room including tea and coffee facilities. Lots of hot water for the bath (small... More

I stayed here on business having booked a single room. Arriving after a very tough day at work I was greeted with a lovely warm welcome and was delighted to find I had been allocated a double room. The room was on the top floor but was very clean and modern with everything you need. The room was lovely and... More

I booked to stay here for the valentines weekend (14th Feb) with my other half. Firstly £85 for a double bed in a room which had dirty walls, a cheap metal bed frame and a concrete mattress was not worth it at all. The mattress was nearly unusable as the springs were sticking right up and was very uncomfortable. However,... More

This hotel caters for coach trips which pay around £50 per night, and this price would be about correct. The general charge of £85 per night is too high for the standard of this hotel. It is a hotel which caters for mass produced food and cheap accommodation. The reception service was excellent until we gave feedback on the poor... More

Stayed here last night (14th February) with my boyfriend for a romantic valentines night away! The hotel was perfect, was far enough away from the town centre to get a good nights sleep, but close enough to walk on foot to all yorks main attractions. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was very clean. Thankyou for making our... More

Top of the rickety stairs to single beds, disappointing for Valentines. But comfy enough and clean. Club sandwich for just over £2. Bargain and very nice too. Choices for breakfast but kept having to ask for butter. Loving the ham. Chatty chef, born where we went to school! Spotless whites.
