A warm, friendly welcome. Very near to the city. Rooms were very clean with a lovely view. Breakfast was made to order and delicious. We couldn't have asked for more, we will return! Thank you Karen and next time I'll check my watch! more

Stayed for 4 nights during gorgeous weather with my teenage son. It took me a few minutes to figure out the problem and a short walk into town to buy the new coaxial cable. I would ask every guest to report any problems/repairs out to me. I...
Karen was very helpful and welcoming with a great knowledge of the area and current events happening within the city. The Hotel was very clean and homely and within walking distance of the city center, we didn't use the car once. Breakfast was made to order and served within a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. We will return for sure! more

3rd time staying at the Acer, excellent as always, ideal position only 10 minutes walk from city centre, free car parking, wonderful cooked breakfast, bedrooms spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, and very quiet neighbour hood. Highly recommended. more

from the moment we turned up we were made to feel welcome, the room we stayed in was the four poster room. all i can see is wow.., lovely room , spacious with everything we needed. as for the breakfast , i am quite a fussy eater , this was still catered for without the quantity being reduced . compliments... more

For an overnight stay the Acer Hotel is a great location for visiting the city centre. The atmosphere was friendly and efficient and the twin room was ideal. A great breakfast to start the day and I would definitely go back. more

We had a great time at the Acer Guesthouse. Karen, the owner, is a wonderfull women who made our stay very special. We just had to ask and she would arrange it for us. The breakfast is amazing! We loved our time in York! more

Returned a year later as its such a lovely place to stay & I had won the voucher for a free night just for reviewing! Easy access from here to all York attractions, lovely breakfast & the sausages were still v.nice! Would stay here again as there is still much of york to explore! more
We stayed in the family room at the top of the house, a very friendly welcome awaits you and the full english breakfast is very nice. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. About a 10-15 min walk to York Train Station and the train museum, which is worth a visit and it is free. The parking at the hotel is... more
Thank you for the unreserved recommendation! I am guessing that you took my short cut to the National Railway Museum if it was only a 15 minute walk from the house. I think the Rail Museum is absolutely fantastic and I personally am no train spotter.
