We booked this B&B because we thought it was right next to downtown York! (Bad research on our part). Unfortunately, we were in for lots and lots of driving to get here. That's the only downside. On the upside, it's an absolutely beautiful, charming, CLEAN place. My family was all very impressed with the room. The owner was super friendly,... More

A fabulous place to stay. Went with my mum and were welcomed from arriving. We had a lovely time. The breakfasts were first class, all sourced from local products. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

What a great place to stay the secondary is second to none, the owners Francis and Meg were very friendly and the breakfast was beautiful as well as the home that was cosy and comfartable. It is close to many lovely villages in the yorkshire wolds so makes it an ideal secluded retreat. Will definitely be returning soon

A fantastic farm in the countryside. Perfect for a relaxing break with the family, just a short drive from York. Very nice and friendly staff. Definitely try the home made bread for breakfast. Would stay there again.

Visiting York for a family wedding, High Belthorpe provided a great welcome and an alternative to the city centre. The accommodation worked well for us with generous size rooms, excellent breakfasts with eggs straight from the chicken (across the yard) and an opportunity to explore the working livery stable and surrounding farmland with clear walking tracks which were all great... Have just spent 3 months at this delightful B&B. Meg and Francis are great, friendly and accommodating hosts, both of whom love to cook so the food is first class. The setting is stunning and so peaceful - the rooms are comfortable, clean and serviced daily. Whether you are stopping just one night or longer I can recommend this idyllic... More

This is the most fantastic place to stay if you're in the York area, with views all across the countryside and a delicious breakfast with local bread, homemade jams and a top-notch Full English. Francis and Meg were incredibly welcoming and the motley pack of hounds was just gorgeous. Don't forget to give Dobbie a good tummy rub and she'll... More

I saw this lovely B&B on one of the booking websites and couldn't believe the price - I read reviews on here and thought id give it a go.... I was travelling to the area to sit an exam, it was a 2/3 hour drive and I wanted to be comfortable where I was staying. Also as a young woman... More

We have just spent 2 nights here. Our room was huge with lovely views of the countryside. The cooked breakfast was lovely. We had 2 evening meals in the local pub - the Fleece- which were homemade and very tasty. The only downside is the drive up to the farm in wet, muddy weather!
