Stayed in this hotel for one night July 2011. Hotel is very clean and in a good location. The breakfast was very very nice. Only negative is you have to pay for parking at the hotel.

Well positioned hotel for sites of York, friendly staff, good restaurant, clean comfortable rooms. Water in rooms should be complementary and wifi £15 is excessive.

Room was tiny, but v clean and quiet. Quality of bathroom fittings, towels and toileteries were lovey. On outskirt of inner city, but easy (5min) walk to Shambles etc. Staff efficient. Breakfast service really nice. Second floor hallway v strong smell of damp.

The location and the price of the hotel was really good but the beds in the double double room were incredibly uncomfortable. Unfortunately there weren't any leisure amenities - a pool would have been nice. The restaurant was very accommodating for a 21-month old and an 11 week old. We actually paid for our trip with Tesco vouchers. We were treated the same as everyone else. The staff couldnt have been more friendly and helpful! We had a lovely room overlooking Clifford Tower. The room was kept beautifully clean (Phil serviced our room).
