After reading some very mixed reviews on Tripadvisor, I was not expecting too much from this hotel as I had bought a great, cheap deal off of the internet which consisted of 2 nights bed, breakfast and free parking and was concerned that we would get a substandard room but I have to say that we had a great experience.... Clean, but tired. A huge bare patch on the carpet, old bed, no bath tub and poor selection of toiletries-well, just a tiny amount of shampoo/body wash ( not separate) and tiny tablet of soap. Old towels, and all this in an "executive business room".. Breakfast ok. Next time we'll stay at the Cedar Court Grand just around the corner,... More

First, you must avoid the first room out of the lift on each floor. Half the normal size - literally - with a small corridor containing a tiny shower, wash basin and toilet with inadequate room to use any of them. These rooms should only be sold at half price. Okay, we knew about them so we made absolutely certain... More

I was there for one night for a bridge competition..our experience was ,,,average,,the room was clean but quite small and lacked a wardrobe which was OK for one night but for any longer would be limiting . The services in the hotel were fine but the bar prices,,,well a coke and a tonic £450 !!! The meal in the restaurant... More

We stayed at the Park Inn in York last night and to say I'm disappointed is an understatement to say the least. We waited for over an hour for a parking space in a tight, badly laid out car park. Then, once we went to check in we had booked a double room, we were given a tiny twin box... More

My husband and I spent last night at the Park Inn and had a fabulous experience. From checking in the staff throughout the hotel were extremely pleasant and professional. We arrived at 12 noon and were not expecting to be able to access the room, however our room was ready. We had a room on the 4th floor overlooking the... More

Spent a few days at this hotel last week on a short break in York. The hotel is situated on the riverside and within walking distance from the railway station. Check in was easy and we were allocated a room on the 4th floor, to get to this part of the hotel we had to go to the 1st floor... More

Stayed here for a short family break in November 2013. For the price, the hotel's location, room quality, neatness and comfort was excellent. We felt the underground car park was well below standard, very tight spaces and pipes overhead that leak onto your car - this parking is not worth the price they charge. One final point, most of the... More

My Fiancée and I spent one night at the Park Inn in April. I was pleasantly surprised on arrival as some of the photos I had seen looked slightly basic. The reception area was very nice and staff were friendly. We arrived quite early in the morning around 10am so obviously before check in. We were able to leave our baggage... More

My wife and I stayed in Park Inn for one night in April 2014 and, overall, found it a good hotel. I think its location is its biggest asset - right on the bank of River Ouse - which makes it very convenient to walk to the main city attractions. Room was comfortable and breakfast was nice and hearty.
