Excellent hotel with very good amenities. The breakfast was self service and there was a good selection of food to choose from. My tip would be to ask for a room on the river side of the hotel for the views over the city. My only negative point would be the miserable sour faced receptionist who did not greet us... more

My wife & i stayed here for 2 nights over a weekend and were not entirely impressed. Its now 5 days since we left and both my wife and I still have bad backs from the bed, it was 2 large singles put together but the duvet didn't cover the bed and there was alot of roll-to ( rather un-comfortable... more

We had a river view superior room, which was large, lovely roomy bathroom but no bath, we had a balcony which could have done with a couple of seats, especially in the summer. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of hot and cold food. We did not have dinner in the hotel, as there was so many restaurants close... more

Just back from the Park Inn, the hotel is in an excellent spot, walkable to the train station, up a quiet street and 5 minutes walk into the city centre. Our room 802 was on the 8th floor it was a standard room, very clean, ftat screen tv, comfy bed, looked as if it had been refurbed not to long... more

We arrived after six hours of driving only to find that the hotel had not kept a room for us or 6 other guests. This was despite giving a credit card number to gaurantee our booking. The manager claimed this was a computer error but we suspect the hotel deliberately overbooka. Although we had also given our mobile and email,... more

I would recommend the Park Inn York to other business travellers. The rooms are light, airy and clean and the staff are very efficient and friendly. Evening meal was good for the money and breakfast offerred a wide variety of choice. Plenty of freeview channels on the TV too! Very good! more

I was assured that all bathrooms had walk-in showers so did we get the only room in the hotel not to have one? If the hotel's been renovated then they must have forgotten the bathroom in 324. There's shower over the bath with a flimsy nylon shower curtain; the side of the bath is disgusting; the seals which keep the... more

The hotel was ideal for sightseeing being within walking distance to the main attractions in the town. However, the hotel itself seems to specialise in conferences and meetings and it seems to do well at it. The downside is that you get these drunk delegates marauding about the hotel at all hours. The room was clean and well maintained. Furniture... more
