Breakfast was lovely rooms did the job for just sleeping over for the night and were clean enough, the lady that I booked thru and spoke to was very helpful and I was able to contact her... More

Just got back from here, me n my daughter went last minute for my birthday. I really think the other reviewers are talking about a different place! It's only accommodation now not bed and breakfast. The rooms smelled funny (there was damp), there was hairs and stains on the sheets, and cos the windows weren't double-glazed I didn't get much... More

We have just come back from our night in York for my hubby's birthday. We came across this place after spending ages trying to find a room,it was the Yorkshire food and drinks festival. What a find, the staff were super friendly, the room very nice, clean and a very comfy bed. There was tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits... More

We dropped in here to have lunch, so I can't comment on the B&B side of things. It looked friendly, we were greeted with such friendliness that I started to feel very warm towards the whole place. Then our food arrived. The bread was actually slightly mouldy - you know when you take a bite and realise just as you... More

We booked, & based on the last review were looking forward to our stay. However, the only good thing about this B&B is its location. We walked through the cafe' to get to check in, & my fears were realised. The description of their cafe' makes it sound like a quaint little York eatery. It is more like a 'greasy... More

What a delightful little place to stay. We booked Jack's at short notice for an overnight visit whilst in York. If you were the Archbishop, you couldn't stay in a more central location (brilliant for the shops and pubs!). Our room was wonderful, having great facilities and a proper shower. The owner (Janet/Janette?) could not do enough for us. She... More

My partner and i travelled down to york for the bank holiday without booking accomodation. After trying many accomodations on the outskirts of york asking silly prices. We found this B&B on the internet and went in to see if they had a room free, they did. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, gave us directions to a nearby... More

Can't believe the previous review stayed at the same place!!. Stayed with a group of friends 7 in total. Couldn't have found a more central location. Owners were more than helpful, suggested places to go, excellent Sunday lunch recommendation. Didn't hear any noise. Also take 1 night bookings which were hard to find in York
