having read conflicting reviews of this hotel we were happy to find a warm welcome to a lovely room. We were shown a room overlooking the river, and warned that this could be noisy but we could move to a quieter room without the view. We stayed with the view. The noise was not a problem, we could hear music,... More

I agree with outhers who have stayed at this hotel that is grotty and run down.My wife and myself have stayed in various * rated hotels and this is by far the worst. We had to ring the land line as there was no one to greet us , The stairs were steep that lead us to our room which... More

I went to The Waterfront restaurant with my husband. The interior was very nice and suited the surroundings. Both my husband and I ordered Moules Marrinier for starters and both agreed that they were fantastic and tasted exceptional. For our mains I had Surf and Turf which was cooked to perfection, my husband had the T-Bone steak which again was... More

The entrance is straight off the street into aweful entrance way. Crumbling walks aweful decor and steep spiral stairs to rooms. Room wasn't too clean lots of dust and tv faulty. Mould and grot in shower cubicle and massive water mark on a bowing ceiling in bedroom. Price was for room only £120. No breakfast facilities either. This place looked... More

Didn't stay at the waterfront just went for an evening meal. Atmosphere was nice and food was okay, however ridiculously expensive. £20-£25 for most meals and it doesn't even include chips!! They are extra!!! Steaks were small for the price and some a little chewy, standard of the food was generAlly okay but nowhere near good enough for the price.... More

If you want a hotel without a front door, soundproofing, service, parking or breakfast at extortionate prices - this is the one for you. My wife and I paid £130 for the privilege of staying in this 'hotel' on Saturday March 9th and left at 2.30am the following morning - we couldn't stand a minute longer. I complained to the... More

I booked this hotel for my husband and I to celebrate being together for 10 years. When we arrived we were welcomed by the owner with such a lovely smile. The bed was comfy, the view was amazing as our room looked out over the river. I was worried about being cold in the room because the windows were single... More

On arrival there was no front entrance so we had to call the landline a few times before someone came to answer the door. The hotel block is next to the restaurant so we could come and go as well pleased. First impressions of the hallway were not great, the stairs are extremely steep and the wallpaper was peeling in... Awful room, with steep stairs directly from street entrance.( I had specifically asked for easy access for my mother who is 85). No reception or public rooms. View of a brick wall about 3 feet away, no breakfast. Freezing cold bathroom...Poor value for money.
