great location, very close to the center of york, near the museums ect a short walk from the train station. found our room clean and substantial also a good size for the two of us. A range of choice at breakfast. Recommend take your own hair dryer, its not the best hair dryer but does the job eventually. We would...

Firstly I do not like writing negative reviews, Id rather enjoy a place and have a happy experience.
When my wife and I arrived at the front door we were greeted by A SIGN TELLING US TO CHECK IN AT THE CORNER SHOP DOWNSTAIRS. We were taken in and given keys and told where our room was. On entering the...

Stayed with wife and friends for the weekend - location excellent - very close to the city centre; easily walkable to museums, shops, restaurants/pubs. Our room was small but very tastefully decorated, amd spotless. En-suite shower room, again small but modern and everything worked as it should. Breakfasts good too -set us all up nicely for the day.
glad we got a deal on this £65 for room to sleep three- wouldn't pay full tariff. Ideal location for city centre and free parking. Room very clean, shower hard to keep temp ok. Breakfast good but no sweeteners for tea/coffee for those of us trying to be healthy!
Stayed at the Crescent in York for a few nights at New Year - excellent location just adjacent to the city centre on Bootham, handy for the rail museum, minster, and all the local attractions. Breakfast was nice, room a little small, but clean and nicely decorated.

Rooms were clean, beds comfy, bathroom lovely however the staff really made the stay. Nothing was too much trouble & they happily washed baby cups &...

I'm going to make this as short as I can. Myself and my partner stayed here for a few nights as a little get away, the rooms did not look like those that where on the website, the finish in room was shabby for what we had to pay per night (£60) raised floor boards that where dangerous, there was...
