Very friendly personal service and although the hotel was full they still managed to serve all 30 odd breakfasts with minimal delay and maximal cheerfullness. Hillcrest is a fair sized B & B situated outside the city walls on one of the main routes into the city. In the middle of a refurb at the moment but a lovely place to stay..Our room was dated but spotless. Our friends room had been done and was great..The staff couldn't do enough for us...Friendly and very helpful...In a good position about 15 mins walk to the centre..Would recommend to anyone... more

just had a lovely weekend in york and stayed here for a night. staff were excellent and very friendly, rooms were ample and clean, breakfast was plenty and full of flavour. couldnt find a single thing to moan about this place and definately got value for money. cheers to all at Hillcrest and see u all soon more
