We spent two nights at this bed and breakfast in York, lovely cosy place, very friendly staff and very clean. It is situated very close to york cathedral and lots of attractions. The breakfast was really good and we had free parking.

Booked several rooms for a family get together. We were able to check in early and were provided with parking permits. Very friendly. Lovely food. Extremely helpful with parking upon checking out. Highly recommend. Many thanks. Lynne and Darryl.

We stayed in a 3 person room in mi-May. We were very pleased with the accommodations. If sharing a room with non-family members, the walk through the single bedroom to reach the bathroom might be problematic. It was not a problem for us. Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and served in a large room which allowed us to visit with others... More

Thanks Jan for your lovely comments, Just to clear up .. Our triple room has a main area with double or twin beds and an area with a single bed [ yes the bathroom leads off this ] This is one room . Our single en-suite room is completely seperate and a room that stands on its own. I'm sure... More

We had 2 nights in this B&B and found it very convenient for walking to the city centre, parks and river. We had upstairs room 2 which is very nicely done out with a larger than normal ensuite (for a B&B) and plenty of wardrobe space. Coffee and tea making facilities and small but adequate TV. Parking is available and... More

This five room bed-and-breakfast is located on a lovely quiet street about five blocks or so from the city walls and historical centre, sharing the street with about five or six other B&Bs. The room was fine and clean with the third occupant having their own little room, but one had to cross it to get to the bathroom, which... More

Canadian67, Let's say I am very disappointed after reading your review! Point 1 that you raised is that you thought we were invisible - I personally welcomed you into the B&B , carried up luggage to your room and explained breakfast, as with ALL guests I explained about the menus and stated that filling these in was not compulsory and... Stayed here for one night after a last minute decision to stay in York. Great find and for the money was fantastic. Great location, about a 10 minute walk into town, and a taxi back was only about £7. Nice, big comfy bed and a plentiful and well cooked breakfast. Owners were very friendly and helpful.

We had 4 rooms booked for a 40th birthday weekend. We turned up early where the owner gave us parking permits and allowed us to check in. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was great as well as the service. Again nothing is too much trouble. Well recommended. Will certainly... More

We have stayed at number 34 for several years now, the rooms are immaculate and extremely cosy. Every time we stay we are made to feel very welcome by Jason and his staff which is the main reason we go back time after time!! The breakfasts are extremely good and certainly fill you up for the day!! The guest house... More

My family and I stayed here for 2 nights. The entire property was well maintained and inviting. The room and bathroom was clean and modern. The breakfast was excellent. It is about a 5-10 minute walk to the city walls. Do no hesitate to stay here...

We stayed at No. 34 for 3 nights in March. It is nothing special as B&Bs go, but it's an absolutely fine accommodation option in York. It's located on the NW side of the city, about a 10-minute walk from the edge of the city center (with a nice grocery store along the way for provisions). It's not too bad... More
