Staff very friendly but that was the only good point of the stay. Room was very dated and headboard really dirty. Breakfast was was inedible with the bacon that hard I could sole my shoe only brown cold toast need I go on. In all a bad experience for the amount that is charged

We have returned here today especially for the lunch, it is excellent. The meat is really well cooked and very tender. There may not be too many choices but what they have is a traditional Sunday roast with all the trimmings and is good value. The property is stuck in a 60`s timewarp but what else would you expect when... More

Our three day stay at Salmon Leap were quite enjoyable. The owner was quite helpful when we needed help with directions or suggestions. The breakfasts were delicious, as were the dinners that were available. This hotel is in a lovely small town that is quiet and lovely and was a wonderful find.

This is a nice hotel a bit dated and no TV in the rooms but there is a TV lounge. There is free internet but I could not access it in my room but I could in the bar downstairs. It's a nice pub and hotel Adrian was very nice and could not do enough for us. There is always... More

This was not supposed to be a time travel experience but if you visit please do not expect modern. We arrived to meet family on a hot Thursday in August. We had a booking for 13 family members for lunch and had given our orders by phone 2 days before. On arrival we went in to the bar and thought... More

I was disappointed to here all the above comments regarding your meal with us. The price quoted and charged for your meal was £9 per person and £4.50 for the children and not £12.50 as you stated Tea and Coffee was extra and not included. If you had requested ice in your drinks it would have been given not all... More

what a great way to wind back the clock and remember a more relaxed time. The Salmons Leap is a hotel and public house that takes away all the modern hussle and bussle and let's you relax and unwind with the basics that you need. Yes the decor is dated and the rooms just as such (no TV in room... More

Normally we always go to a chain hotel and after reading some reviews was not expecting a pleasant stay but how wrong we where. Adrian is the perfect host we arrived early no problem the rooms are dated but very very clean and the bedding was very new. There is no TV in the room but who goes away to... More

What a treat! The best pint of Guinness outside of Dublin, the finest Italian Prosecco and a menu filled with family favourites. Adrian, the owner, is a delight backed up by a team of helpful ladies. Only a stone's throw from Whitby with good rail and bus links. Or you can enjoy the in-house entertainment and boogie the night away... More

Owner was very pleasant, however the hotel was very dated, no television in the rooms, smelt like a residential home, definitely not the place for the younger generation, requires a desperate refurbishment through out, overall very disappointed.
