Top place, I would stay there again without fail!! The only thing is the parking it's a bit tricky, but it's well worth it once you get in there.Oh yeh there's no charge for parking and you don't need a parking ticket displayed in your window screen.

Finding ourselves having to stay an extra night on the N.E coast we were stuck and only able to stay here due to a cancellation. Knocking on the door at 9pm we were unsure of what to expect as other hoteliers had given us a frosty reception. However the welcome we received was brilliant and the hosts went out of... More

We unfortunately were only able to stay at this beautifully clean guest house for one night due to it being full. Not surprising really, it was as good as any five star hotel and spotlessly clean. The proprietors Lane and Simon were very hospitable and approachable. Excellent choice for breakfast. If there is anything negative about whitehaven it would be... More

My wife and I recently enjoyed an excellent three night stay at this gem of a guest house. It's difficult to add much more to the other splendid reviews without repetition. However it has to be said that this small guest house provides an unbeatable base to explore Whitby. It is a short stroll down to the harbour and shops,... More

We've just returned from our third stay at this lovely guest house. Simon and Lane are the best hosts anyone could wish for; the rooms are immaculate and modern with beautiful en-suites. Breakfast never disappoints! - fruit, various cereals, a variety of breakfast options including the full English. All the food is cooked to order and delicious! Coffee, tea and... More

Title says it all. Whitehaven Guest House and hosts Simon and Lane are just excellent in every department. The welcome, efficiency and friendliness of our hosts and staff, the food, the service, the room, the cleanliness are all faultless. We couldn't recommend them more highly. If you need a B&B in Whitby/area look no further.

We stayed at Whithaven for a long weekend in a very cold January. We and our friends were apparently the only guests that weekend but that did not stop Simon and Lane from pulling out all the stops to make our stay a great one. The guest house was warm and spotlessly clean, our rooms were very comfortable, nicely furnished... More
