La Rosa hotel is a comfortable, fun place to stay which is a stones throw from whitby town, marina and seafront. Here are a couple of things to note about La Rosa: 1) quirky decor - certainly an acquired taste but if you're open minded this hotels fun surroundings, quirky tea rooms and themed bedrooms will add to your stay... I had heard of La Rosa via my partner he has stayed there before we was taking a trip to Whitby to a vintage fair at the Pavillion and passed La Rosa.Curious of course I have looked on line and talked over camping with them. So after a jaunt around Whitby we went in,of course La Rosa was a feast... More

We stayed at the campsite for my friends hen do last weekend and it was an amazing experience!! The place is in an amazing tucked away middle of nowhere location, perfect for escaping everything. What words can be used to explain it... Amazing, Kitsch, Vintage, Quirky, Mad, Shabby chic, Fun! We all loved it! We stayed in the green caravans,... More

On arriving the first thing I noticed was a musty odour, maybe from the reclaimed furniture. The room was themed we stayed in the Lewis Carol room, it was the same as the picture on the website only minus the peeling ceiling paper which looked like it was about to fall along with a chunk of the ceiling and the... Four of us came for a mini hen do and stayed in Saloon and Stoker (the Crows Nest was our first choice but it was fully booked). La Rosa is an amazing looking place from the second you walk in with nick nacks and curios covering every surface. It won't be for everyone - don't come if you're expecting tvs,... More

I stayed here recently for a long weekend and I can honestly say La Rosa is one of the most unique and special hotels I've ever stayed in. All of the rooms are totally different, I stayed in La Rosa but to be honest I was tempted by all the others. The decor was incredible, we had a balcony with... More

Oh what a BEAUTIFUL hotel. A fabulous location and a really eclectic, individual style, we loved it. We had booked to stay one night in the hotel and the second night at the campsite at half term but on the second morning a lovely lady came to tell us the campsite was pretty water-logged, it had been raining catsanddogs for... I booked the 'LA Rosa' for my friends Hen weekend. We booked the Crows Nest and also the Caravan room. Full place is very quirky and you really do have to see it to appreciate / appreciate it. The Crow's Next' slept 6 of us. Nice rooms but there was no fridge in the living area which was frustrating as... More

You either love it or you hate it. Quirky doesn't even begin to describe the gothic eccentricity of this hotel, with its myriad of Victorian ornaments and knick knacks, candles everywhere, and furnishings which appear to come from dusty antique shops. This hotel combines shabby chic with gothic gloom, and it is definitely not to everyone's taste, including my husbands.... More
