Stayed at both the hotel and the campsite. The Gypsy room was wonderful, Mr Toad gypsy caravan a total pleasure and the barn a relaxing haven. The staff are so friendly and helpful, booking again soon. So far removed from the norm and the rat race. Eclectic, beautiful, quirky, charming, back to nature and totally love it!!

We stayed in the La Rosa room. It has a gorgeous en suite, a view of the mouth of the sea and a view of the Abbey ruins. Sounds good already right? It gets better....the room was beautifully decorated in a cool kitsch with ornate bed and curiosities adorning the walls. Staff were friendly and helpful in the way that... More

I have stayed in the hotel a number of times and I am slowly making my way through all of the fabulous rooms. I am visiting the campsite this coming weekend, cannot wait, followed by a night in the hotel. The staff are always so accommodating and helpful The last time I stayed they seemed to have added some extras,... More

This tired hotel did not warrant the £150.00 charge for 2 adults and 2 children, we stayed in a double room and were told put up beds would be provided in the room for the kids to sleep on . We returned around 9.30pm and we given 2 bed rolls and 2 sleeping bags to put directly on a wooden... More

Stopped here on for one night, that was quite enough, strange rooms said to be frequented by Lewis Carroll, I don't think it had been cleaned since they left, under the bed was an inch in dust bedding smelt musty, just dirty feel and looking. Woke in the night to a skull staring at me from the bedroom cabinet. The... More

We stayed at the campsite in mid August with a group of friends most of whom were older couples and families with older children. Fortunately the weather was spectacularly sunny and the location stunning, thank goodness. If it had been raining all weekend I think the negatives of this site would have made me go home. The campsite calls itself... More

we booked this as a spur of the moment decision, I think sophie the receptionist sold it to us with her "its totally unique" sales purr. we stopped in the stocker room for two nights, the room had a fantastic view of the harbour, and abbey ruins across the bay, we then stopped another night transferring to the "saloon" room... It was my wife's birthday and she likes Vampires so where better to go than Whitby. I can see why it inspired Bram Stoker to set Dracula. Even in the August sun there is a gothic atmosphere in Whitby. To continue my themed night away, I booked the Stoker room at La Rosa hotel and it was the wow factor... More

I've stayed at both the hotel and the campsite before, but never with my husband so was desperate to come back again. It was a lovely as I'd remembered and I will definitely be back. We stayed for 2 nights with a half price offer on the 2nd night and stayed in the Stoker room. Amazing views, the bed was... More

Just returned from a night stay at La Rosa, stayed in the little red room described as small but perfectly formed could not agree more, breakfast was lovely and delivered to your room is a perfect touch. Lovely place will return but this time booking a room with a view.
