I've just returned from a birthday weekend break in Whitby, and was absolutely delighted with La Rosa hotel. I stayed in the Lewis Carroll room which had amazing sea views as promised, with a beautiful view of the harbour and the abbey. Breakfast was charming both mornings, with everything fresh and warm. The toiletries were made with real fresh produce... More

Just back from a fabulous weekend at la rosa campsite. We stayed in tinkers trailer with its pot bellied stove and box bed. Claudia was fantastic, giving us a lift in her car and showing us all around the site. Logs, candles and everything you could think of in the camping kitchen are supplied. It was magical sitting round the... More

for our wedding anniversary my hubby booked us 2 nights in the Mr Toad caravan. Mr toad is a proper old fashioned wooden gypsy van or is it a shepherd's hut? it is painted in red green and yellow and is set in it's own secluded field with pretty climbing plants tumbling over it. it is so pretty it will... I chose this hotel for my fiancée's 21st birthday and it was everything she loved- quirky/ all things weird and wonderful. We was in the Caravan Room, small and cosy. She LOVED it! Staff friendly and welcoming, gave us recommendations of places to go and eat. Bed is lovely and comfortable. Nothing we could find to fault. We want to... More

We loved this place. It was quirky and had real character. The staff were very friendly and the location was outstanding. It was exactly what we were looking for and I wish we could have spent more time here. If you are wanting spotless, perfect, new, clinical accommodation - this is not it. If you want something with humour, quirkiness... More

Went for a couples retreat for our anniversary. Couldn't have been made more special. Clean room, lovely place and helpful staff. Didn't want to leave and go back to our madhouse!! Thank you for a great stay.

Everything about my stay at La Rosa was perfect, I'd called up for a specific rate and was offered it without any problems (other hotels were insisting on 2 night stay min), I got the room I wanted (Stoker room, awesome), and when we arrived early, the reception staff made us drinks (free tea and coffee) while our room was... La Rosa hotel is a comfortable, fun place to stay which is a stones throw from whitby town, marina and seafront. Here are a couple of things to note about La Rosa: 1) quirky decor - certainly an acquired taste but if you're open minded this hotels fun surroundings, quirky tea rooms and themed bedrooms will add to your stay... I had heard of La Rosa via my partner he has stayed there before we was taking a trip to Whitby to a vintage fair at the Pavillion and passed La Rosa.Curious of course I have looked on line and talked over camping with them. So after a jaunt around Whitby we went in,of course La Rosa was a feast... More
