We booked the family room for a one night stay. Even though our 'children' are 14 and 16 the room was plenty big enough. It was clean and tidy, as was the ensuite bathroom. We enjoyed a lovely English breakfast ready for another day of walking. I strongly recommend this guesthouse.

Location great only 5 minutes walk into Whitby town. If you enjoy a full cooked breakfast then this is the place to stay. Parking outside is limited but car park only 1 minutes walk away and they dont charge between 7 in evening and 9 in morning and rates are very reasonable.

We returned from a 3 night break at Easter. Tamsin the landlady was very friendly and helpful. Our room was the family room at the front of the building on the first floor, plenty of room and facilities. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice plus as it was Easter we had little eggs on the table which was a... More

A great location, family room was large and airy. Very clean. Very friendly. We were given a car parking permit and were able to easily walk into town. The breakfast was lovely, all local produce. Good value.

Just returned from a 2 night stay. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable of the local area. The location was great for us, a 5 minute walk into town. The bedroom was very clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was very good. All in all a really great short break.

We stayed here for the Easter weekend and had a very enjoyable stay. We were given a parking permit which allows you to park anywhere within Zone W. We arrived before lunchtime and managed to get one of the last 3 spaces available in the Area, so I would suggest trying to get there early to find a space. Alternatively... More

When we arrived it was very windy and cold yet when the door was opened we were kept outside while the owner chatted away asking us about our journey and plans for the next couple of days. We just wanted to get in. When we did get in at least it was nice and warm and clean. I have to... More

Stayed at the Beaches many times over the years. As usual, the room was warm and very clean. Great view over the town, and the Abbey. Really nice breakfast. Tamsin, as always, very friendly and helpful. Good location, only about 5 mins walk into the town centre.

Brilliant stay!!! Lovely comfortable rooms-having stayed in different ones! Great breakfast, cereals and/or cooked. Tamsin was a fantastic hostess and really helpful with local knowledge/attractions. Looking forward to our next stay in November!!!
