Sun shining, popped in had lovely drink and sat and people watched outside.Friendly service, nice and clean. Nice range of beers, with little jackpots with sample of beer to show what the beer looks like. Food menu looked very good as well.

Good food reasonably priced and good service the staff are friendly and make you feel at home the wait for food was minimal and staff returned to ask if we had everything and if there was any problems would definitely return on next visit to the area

Didn't know what to expect after reading reviews but the accommodation was lovely cosy and clean. Breakfast had a brilliant choice and the lady serving was lovely and friendly and spent time talking to everyone and made all welcome. I would definitely go again.

We came for the goth fest weekend! Amazing service! Everyone was so friendly! The family room we stayed in was nice and cozy and clean! Perfect location! Great atmosphere! Wish we could have stayed longer, but unforeseen circumstances meant we had to cut our trip short! The staff were more than helpful! Would definitely stay again!

The stairs/corridor to the room was very tired and you walked past various staff/service entrances etc and the room itself... More

Spent a night at this b&b in the family room. The room was filthy and hadn't been hoovered, there were splash marks all up the wall near the kettle & the kettle itself had water in it from previous occupants. The shower in the bathroom was hard to control in terms of temperature, either scolding hot or freezing cold. The... More

Yes it's as pub but that's no excuse ! The rooms are terrible room 3 very scruffy our friends stopped in the room above and had to clean the toilet. Noise in room 3 is terrible you hear everything in the bar directly underneath. The window was nailed shut ( I'm sure fire regs wouldn't agree with this) In the... More

Bear in mind this is a pub not a hotel thus don't set your sights too high and you won't be disappointed. Rooms are ok breakfast excellent ( even get eggybread if u ask ! ) very central location. My only slight gripe is the shower cud be a bit more powerful. Claire and Mathew in my opinion were friendly... More
