We stayed here for one night. I chose this hotel as the location was great (right on the harbour front) but unfortunately the photos on the website of the hotel did not truly represent what the place was actually like. The stairs/corridor to the room was very tired and you walked past various staff/service entrances etc and the room itself... More

Spent a night at this b&b in the family room. The room was filthy and hadn't been hoovered, there were splash marks all up the wall near the kettle & the kettle itself had water in it from previous occupants. The shower in the bathroom was hard to control in terms of temperature, either scolding hot or freezing cold. The... More

Yes it's as pub but that's no excuse ! The rooms are terrible room 3 very scruffy our friends stopped in the room above and had to clean the toilet. Noise in room 3 is terrible you hear everything in the bar directly underneath. The window was nailed shut ( I'm sure fire regs wouldn't agree with this) In the... More

Bear in mind this is a pub not a hotel thus don't set your sights too high and you won't be disappointed. Rooms are ok breakfast excellent ( even get eggybread if u ask ! ) very central location. My only slight gripe is the shower cud be a bit more powerful. Claire and Mathew in my opinion were friendly... More

Room not bad, dirty voile curtain and wooden window was filthy. Noisy from Bar in room three and not much of an sea view. Bed not bad but Douvet under the cover was disgusting. Breakfast on first day was awful, second day was better! Didn't like being asked for the money as soon as we checked in! Would not return!... More

Lovely old pub. Comfy bed. Warm room. Good shower. Lots of towels. Water hot. Great breakfast. Great beer. Lovely hosts. Great price. Fab place from which to explore Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay and surrounding areas. So easy to get to. We went on the train and it literally is a five minute walk along the front to the Pier Inn... We booked in for a one night stay, made to feel really welcome, lovely room with harbour view. Great atmosphere in the bar downstairs, although quite a lot of noise from the entertainment in the room you are told of this on the website beforehand, staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast well worth it, lovely! All round would defo... More

Myself, my wife and 4 year old son stayed here for 3 nights. We stayed in the family room which was adequate (no bath) for our needs with fantastic harbour views, our son has not stopped enthusing about the Inn and particularly our "room in the spooky attic". From the minute we arrived the hospitality was execeptional and nothing was... More

We have visited this pub several times over the past 5 years and it's always been lovely apart from this time. It appears to have changed hands since we last visited and changed for the worse. We stayed in the hotel room which was grubby and noisy and the showers were awful. Breakfast was terrible and the man called Matthew... More
