A nice room, but lacking in some basics,ie no hooks for coats anywhere, small towels for the shower I'm afairly big guy and the towel wouldnt even go round me. Also nowhere to plug the kettle in properly for a cup of tea or coffee.

Stayed here on a Saturday night. The room was ok, but could have been cleaned a little better. The finish was a little shoddy too. The bed sheet that lies on top of the duvet smelt like sweaty bum!! Obviously not been washed. The owner seemed abit miserable. If you plan on an early night I wouldn't stay here over... More

Me and my wife stayed here after going to the great north run and found our room to be clean but needed a lick of paint and final touches. Our room was room 7 and four floors up so no good for anyone with walking difficulties . the view from our room was amazing I doubt you would get a... More

We stayed at the Pier Inn for one night in mid August. Once we found the pub-after driving past it several times-our "check in" went flawlessly. Jessica showed us to our room-and offered to carry our suitcase (I carried it myself). I can see why she offered after we finally reached our destination-up at least 4 flights of narrow, windy... Hotel is situated right in heart of lovely Whitby. Stayed in a family room, which involved climbing 4 flights of very small and windy stairs (not good for tall people and suitcase. This should have been highlighted before booking). Nice view of the Abbey from room. Parking is non-existent. the room itself is nice. Weekend band nights are brilliant. Breakfast... More

Went into pub expecting normal pub meal with family. We placed orders promptly and ordered drinks one of which had to be returned to bar as it was like tap water and another cup was tea stained. The girls were very oblidging regarding heating up baby food in between texting. Little man had to undertake nappy change on carpet in... More

Stayed for 2 nights in May so a little late reviewing. We arrived early and reception were very good storing our luggage, in fact when we finally checked in the cases were already in our room. We were given a free parking permit and managed to get a space just up the road. On arrival the room seemed very nice.... More

Can not really recommend this Hotel, the only thing going for it is the location,(a couple of yards from MAGPIE CAFE) The room was a little grotty, do with good clean, and was not serviced the two nights I stayed,It was also at the top of a very steep, and I mean steep, staircase, the staff were far from friendly, a cheery...
