We stayed at Lavinia House with some friends for 3 days last month and cant recommend it enough. Our rooms were both spacious, spotlessly clean and well furnished. Food was great with freshly cooked full english as well as the usual buffet items. We parked outside and didnt move the car until leaving as Lavinia House is so well located.... more

I have stayed on numerous occasions at Lavinia House and can't recommend it highly enough. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. I thought the choice of food available at breakfast excellent for a small establishment and was of good quality. We arrived at Lavina House at Whitby on 2nd June 08. We could not find any parking becase out side the hotel is free parking and all day trippers get there first, early in the morning.We could not book into our room here until after mid day.So parking is out the question.They should explain this on their web site.So we... more
