We stayed for 2 nights in May, the room was immaculate and the staff were really friendly. Only a very pleasant 10 min walk from whitby would definitely recommend which has some great bars and resturants. Cannot think of a single thing to suggest they improve

Stayed for 2 nights, hotel room was beautifully decorated, the shower was fantastic, the breakfast was good, however the rest of the hotel is in need of a tidy up, looking rather shabby, and was quite disappointed with the meet and greet on arrival....as there wasn't one, didn't see the owner till checking out to take the money...very poor I... This is a lovely B&B and is perfectly located for Whitby. It’s a 5 minute walk down the hill and a 10 minute walk back up. Our room was lovely (we stayed in the Grosmont ) and if you leaned right up to the window and squint you can see the Abbey which made me happy). The bathroom was gorgeous... More

We had a pleasant stay at Hillcrest for 2 nights room only. We opted for room only as we like to try out the different cafes in Whitby. We stayed in the Aislaby Room which was a standard room which met our needs as we didn’t plan being in the room much. It was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. We... More

We stayed on the Saturday and Sunday night however the room wasn't serviced on the Sunday so we returned to the room after a day out to make our own bed, find clean towels and wash the tea cups etc. we mentioned this upon checking out to the Owner who advised that we should have rang the bell. Upon our... More

What a lovely stay felt so rested. The breakfast is delicious, good quality & well cooked. I would go back for the scrambled egg time after time. Our room was warm, comfortable & clean, spacious bathroom with a fantastic power shower. Location is great 5 minute walk (downhill) & your in Whitby, great place to stay to discover this part... We arrived to a freezing cold room, radiators weren't turned on. Landlady quickly got us a radiator but feel this room should have been warm on our arrival - like the rest of the rooms she informed us! This apart the room was lovely altho it cud have done with a quilt. Fantastic shower. Lovely breakfast in a nice breakfast... More

We have stayed at this guest house in Spring 2013 and Autumn 2014 and the pick a number charging system has put us off staying there ever again. We were keen to book again for Spring 2015 but the price we were quoted had almost doubled from our first stay and NOTHING had changed or been updated. The Guest House... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I would like to point out that our rack rate prices have not changed for 8 years. We, of course, offer discounts out of season and for booking multiple rooms, which the majority of places do. Please ensure that you are booking directly through ourselves and not an agent. We... A short walk to the center of Whitby, a nice place to stay. We were there for 2 nights, and the only downside is that we were on the ground floor next to the door, so heard everyone coming and going in the night. Ask to be not here if you remember as it did disturb sleep! Over all very... More

We have visited whitby lots of times and love it. This was only the second time we have stayed over (stayed in a hotel last time) i loved the guesthouse, it had plenty of character (unlike hotels) the owner was very friendly and welcoming and showed us to our rooms. Her staff member was very polite and helpful. Free car... More
