After a disaster with a booking down the road at another site, we drove passed Ugthorpe Lodge and saw the pods for hire. We weren't disappointed!! We spent two nights in the brand new shepherds hut (ours had a log burner too and full electric) and we had a brilliant two days. They were very accommodating and the facilities were... More

Just had a splendid Easter break at Ugthorpe, good facilities, friendly staff and caters for all age groups, highly recommended for anyone wanting a long or short break on the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.

We stayed at Ugthorpe lodge for bank holiday- the staff were very helpful and the little tuck shop was very handy!! The toilets were great but not excellent- a few cobwebs. Our pitch was a great location, and I liked it how the owner checked on us- thank you! I particularly liked the spirit of the campsite, all helping one... More

Can't comment on the quality of the accommodation but happened upon the lodge on our way home from Scarborough after a wonderful day out. First impressions didn't give me any concerns, drinks ordered, food ordered and money paid. Ordered a small fish & chips, and 2 small basket meals (yes the old fashioned ones) nothing requiring any culinary skills, only... More

The caravan site was spot on. Nice and clean, good facilities and in a lovely location. Would recommend. Pub though not as good. Not sure whether part of the same place mind so score is for the caravan site. But bar staff were grumpy at best and aggressive at worst. Pub dated and in need of good clean. Food mediocre.

We have just returned from a 3-night stay (Thurs to Sunday) at this site and were very pleased with it. On arriving there we were met by the warden, who was very helpful, taking us to our pitch and helping us to reverse in. The pitch was spacious, and relatively level. The site was quiet, clean and family friendly (although... More

We arrived on site at about 12.00 noon. The reception desk was not manned so as directed we knocked on the wardens door. The warden wasn't there but his son went out looking for him. We only had to wait a few minutes and it was fine. We were on pitch number 1 which is a big pitch and gets... More

Stayed at this Caravan Park with my Campervan for 2 nights in June. Camping field very quiet and lots of space if a little soggy, but that's not their fault. Facilites were clean and showers hot. Warden was a bit conspicious by his absence, hard ro find sometimes whjen checking in. Overall a good site and location for a walking... More
