Stayed here for only one night as we where attending a wedding locally. Really nice B&B, good rooms, hot shower and comfy beds! Couldn't ask for more. Breakfast was ample and good. Really pleasant staff. Would recommend to anyone. Many Thanks to all the staff for making our stay so nice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - A lovely welcome on arrival and our first impressions were how clean the pub and our newly furnished bedroom were. Location is ideal and we were just 10 minutes from Danby Castle, so ideal for the wedding we were attending . It was lovely to see how a pub should be run catering for... More

3 well kept local ales. Slightly out of the village centre so able to maintain its individuality. They serve an excellent Sunday lunch and the other meals on the menu are very competitively priced. The sea bass was particularly good and very well priced Friendly and helpful staff. Good parking and reasonably good access

A warm welcome from the hostess. Clean and pleasant room with nice big bath towels. Very nice evening meal served on a 'hot plate'. Comfortable bed. Super breakfast (enough for 3) and on a hot plate again. Very reasonable price for B&B. Looking forward to staying again

Very nice food. Black pudding was gorgeous and my parmo is the best ive had yet. Nice and thick proper chicken. (Ive had my fair share of parmos). Good pint of beer as well. Very reasonable prices. Nice friendly staff and dogs were welcome to sit beside the coal fire after our walk. Would recommend and will be returning.

My partner and I discovered the Eskdale Inn whilst we were staying at a farm cottage near Castleton in August as part of a cycling holiday. Our first experience of the Eskdale was when we called in on a Sunday afternoon en route back to our cottage. The bar service was very friendly and we were intrigued to see that... More

We had an overnight stay here with our dog while passing through the moors. We found all the staff very friendly and helpful. We were very pleased with our room and en-suite, it was clean and tastefully decorated and a huge comfy bed, we were also impressed with the complimentary bath products, tea and coffee. Our breakfast was excellent, probably... More

Turned out to be not quite as special as we had hoped. My somewhat romantic idyll of opening the windows on a sunny morning to gaze out at wind blown, heather strewn moors was not to be. Instead out of the window was a very untidy yard with rubbish and an old discarded sofa, talk about disappointing. The room was... More
