We should have stayed at The White House Hotel, but due to double booking by booking.com we were lucky to find a room in this wonderful hotel. The view and location couldn't be bettered. The breakfast was excellent and room extremely nice..will definitely try and stay at this fantastic hotel next time we visit Whitby.

We stayed the 4th & 5th July. Great room with all the amenities with a view of the Cricket field where we enjoyed watching cricket for most of Saturday afternoon. Paul and Sandra the owners were friendly, welcoming and helpful. We were very glad to leave the car parked for the two days and to be able to walk into... More

Situated on West Cliff in Whitby, rooms overlook the coast or the cricket field. It has a rare asset for a hotel in Whitby - parking places. It is a bit cramped as cars are double parked and left to the owner Paul to rearrange them if needed. Even without this asset the hotel would be well worth a stay.... More

Couldn't fault this hotel. I was part of a group of 20 but the numbers posed no problem at meal times - food was excellent and served piping hot. Our twin room was immaculate. All staff were very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Ten out of ten - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Morningside.

PARKING The Morningside is a walk away from the town centre. Taxi's work 24hrs a day and it costs £5 one way into town if you don't fancy walking up the the promenade. You can park your car at the front entrance to the hotel. It's a bit cramped (you have to double park), but you leave your keys with... More

The Morningside Hotel room was very nice. We were both treated with respect, the room service staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel food was excellent. It was my first time in Whitby and I would love to go again when the weather is warmer and I would love to stay at The Morningside Hotel again. Daniella & Paulne

Booked four rooms with family and friends, as had stayed here previously. Again all rooms were immaculate, excellent menu's and Paul and Sandra were great hosts. Wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend.

We picked this hotel for a couple of nights whilst visiting Whitby based on its excellent TA reviews and we were not disappointed. Paul was a very friendly and welcoming host and our room was very clean, well equipped and had stunning views. Amazing sea view from your bed and you can even see the abbey despite being quite far...
