Having gone to Whitby with nowhere booked, we came across George and Carol's place that had one (king size bed) room free. All I can say is what a great find and certainly our lucky day. The room was lovely and clean as was all the accommodation. George did a delicious breakfast and Carol was friendly making sure we had... More

Just returned from our second visit to Crescent Lodge, again we've been very well looked after by George & Carol. We met up with a couple of friends there who have stayed umpteen times before. The fantastic cooked breakfast sustains you while you're walking to Robin Hoods Bay or one of the many other great walks in the area. There's... More

We recently stayed for 2 nights at this guest house and received a very warm welcome. The room was bright and clean, and in good decorative order. The bed was a very comfortable king size. There was an excellent choice for the breakfast and we were offered more tea, toast and juice if required. The parking facilities were excellent and the... Only a few rooms but nice and clean with off street parking. The hosts were friendly and served a good breakfast. They don't take credit cards so had to walk down to nearest bank. Fortunately the shops are very close by downhill. We went to the famous Magpie for fish and chips then George recommended a better one. He was... More

This is your quintessential English B&B. Carol and George looked after us, we looked after them. Felt right at home. Totally enjoyed our holiday as a result. Good location, free parking, quiet, clean. I have changed my diet on the basis of what they served up for breakfast! If that isn't a recommendation, I don't know what is.

Comfortable, clean and pleasant bed and breakfast; friendly hosts George and Carol. Good location for easy walk into the town for pubs, shops, etc, beach and, of course, the Abbey steps. Proper 'Yorkshire breakfasts'. Ours was a king size comfortable bed. On site parking. Be aware cash or cheque only to settle bill, no cards. All in all an excellent... More
