Only a few rooms but nice and clean with off street parking. The hosts were friendly and served a good breakfast. They don't take credit cards so had to walk down to nearest bank. Fortunately the shops are very close by downhill. We went to the famous Magpie for fish and chips then George recommended a better one. He was... More

This is your quintessential English B&B. Carol and George looked after us, we looked after them. Felt right at home. Totally enjoyed our holiday as a result. Good location, free parking, quiet, clean. I have changed my diet on the basis of what they served up for breakfast! If that isn't a recommendation, I don't know what is.

Comfortable, clean and pleasant bed and breakfast; friendly hosts George and Carol. Good location for easy walk into the town for pubs, shops, etc, beach and, of course, the Abbey steps. Proper 'Yorkshire breakfasts'. Ours was a king size comfortable bed. On site parking. Be aware cash or cheque only to settle bill, no cards. All in all an excellent... More

A group of us hired two rooms with Crescent Lodge through Whitby Tourist Information this week, so did not not entirely know what to expect. The rooms were brilliant; clean, tidy, modern and comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best I have for while, and George and Carol were lovely. The children especially liked them, however that could have... More

We were absolutely delighted with our stay at Crescent Lodge B&B -- the owners were kind, considerate and more than caring -- the location was great -- and the breakfast was absolutely delicious! The room was cozy and warm -- an important factor when the weather outside was rainy and cold on one of our days in Whitby. We can... More

Big thank you to George and Carol. We had a fantastic weekend again, love staying at the Crescent, room, food and hosts excellent. Great location nice 10 min walk down onto front just far enough away from lively night life on a saturday night. great bonus having car parking, Ron loves the dish of sweets in the entrance hall.

We had a very pleasant three night stay, using two rooms. Both were excellent, clean, tidy and very comfortable. Parking was a great asset and to be able to walk into town, along the cliff or across to the east side in just a few minutes was very convenient. Very good breakfast with plenty of choice. We had our elderly... More
