This is the second time we have stayed in this lovely hotel and will definitely be back. The staff are lovely and very pleasant. On both ocassions the rooms were very clean spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The gardens are well maintained and it is areal pleasure to sit on the terrace on a nice evening. The bar and... More

This is a lovely old house full of history and original features. The welcome was great although our room wasn't ready, we were offered complimentary tea and scones, which were great. When we did get our room, I joked on the way 'were we staying in the servants quarters?"' As it turned out we were, room for me was disappointing,... More

We stayed at Dunsley Hall during the week as there was no availability at our hotel of choice, we were a bit apprehensive before we arrived as we had read some reviews that didn't give a good impression of the hotel.... However I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The room we stayed in was huge and very comfortable,... More

The apartment me and my family stayed in was lovely and clean, no complaints, except there was no washing machine, or dryer. Me and my family arrived at night which is not the best idea as the kids were afraid of the dark endless corridors.. Even I was slightly spooked. However in the day it is really nice, except a... Stayed one evening with my wife & daughter. We were met with a lovely building in a fantastic location, with a friendly greeting. Great. After a brief intro & shown to our room we then took up the offer of complimentary tea & scones, which were lovely. An A La Carte Menu provided limited choice & with no children's menu... More

After no success in getting a room for the night in Whitby itself, I called this hotel off spec to see if they had any availability.  Very luckily for my hubby and I they had just had a cancellation and as the cost for bed and breakfast was very reasonable I booked this hotel.  It is only 10 minutes away... Read the reviews about the hotel and hoped we didn't get room 10! Was shown to our room by a friendly member of staff and guess what it is room 10! Writing this review from room10 and don't see what the problem is would recommend it to anyone. Enjoying our stay.

Came to the restaurant for dinner and were very disappointed. Started in the bar and found that the menu was very limited. They were serving bar food and a couple of specials only - even in the fancier restaurant. Ordered a hamburger medium rare - came out well done, flat, flavorless and tasted like it had been frozen. We were... More

A warm welcome. A beautiful lounge and comfy bar. Staff were efficient and friendly. Be careful not to get mixed up with the Dunsley Hall in Kinever, Staffordshire. Get a confirmation email. We didn't? We had the correct hotel near Whitby but had booked by telephone and were then charged by Dunsley Hall, Kinever.
