Had an enjoyable weekend in October at the Waverley. There are so many B&B's of this type in the Town it can be tricky to choose something suitable. The Waverley is located about 15 minutes walk from the center of the Town in a quiet residential area. It is a typical converted building with thin walls quite cramped and some... More

My friend and I spent 2 nights at the Waverley and found it to be very good .On arrival we met Tania who took our bags upstairs ,gave us maps of the area and pointed us in the right direction to all Whitby has to offer. Our twin room was clean, spacious and lovely and warm .There was towels and... More

I stayed here for one night and honestly cannot find fault. Tania was so helpful and was incredibly warm and welcoming - I felt instantly at home. The room was superb - both warm and cozy but also spacious and well appointed - one thing I loved was the smell of the towels and bedlinen - fab! The view from... More

Stayed here for the weekend recently , found the hosts to be very friendly and gave us a warm welcome and were very helpful when it it came to parking arrangements .Having read the most recent review i found it a little harsh but there were elements that were disappointing . The breakfast was good , the usual for places... More

We chose The Waverley because of the great reviews so were very disappointed with the standard. Yes, Tania and David were friendly and helpful when we arrived but we basically saw them just at breakfast time. We had a twin bedded ensuite which was straight out of the 1950's with an old fashioned wash hand basin in the bedroom and... More

My third visit to the Waverley. Firstly with five girl friends spring 2013 then again spring 2014. Third visit was with my husband on 13th October 2014, each visit was for two nights. Highly recommend a visit to the Waverley, the hosts Tania and David are so welcoming and friendly, you could not ask for better hosts. Rooms are exceptionally... More

We stayed at the Waverley for one night and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. The hosts,Tania and David, were very professional - welcoming, friendly and attentive. Our room was spotlessly clean, most comfortable and refreshingly clear of unnecessary clutter, with a view of the Abbey to die for. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend this venue.

We recently stayed at the Waverley with friends. Tania and Davide are amazing hosts. From the time you book to the time you leave, they make you feel so welcome. They take the time to find out your name before you arrive so they can address you personally. Nothing is too much trouble, The rooms are excellent, so clean and... More

we have now stayed on several occasions and every time we have been made to feel welcome . We are greeted as friends and nothing is too much trouble for either Tania or David, both are helpful and have a good sense of humour (needed at times!!) The rooms are spotless, fresh milk is provided, and breakfast is more than... More

We only stayed at the Waverley for 1 night, but it was a great start to our week's holiday 'up north'. David & Tania are lovely hosts - friendly and helpful from the minute we arrived (late!). I had a very comfortable single room (unusual in itself) - warm, cosy and with a wonderful view of Whitby Abbey. The breakfast... More
