We have just returned from a 3 night break in the lovely resort of Whitby and stayed at the fantastic Waverley B&B. The owners, Tania and David are a great couple and made us feel most welcome. The whole B&B was spotlessly clean, our room spacious and extremely comfortable with all the usual amenities and we liked the choice of... More

Just returned home after our third fantabulous stay at the brilliant Waverley, and we enjoyed it just as much as the first and second stays! This time we took our closest friends with us for their first Whitby and Waverley experience, and needless to say they they all thoroughly loved both! We celebrated a special birthday whilst there this time,... More

Brilliant time for our reunion weekend in in Whitby with fantastic friends including the outstanding owners Tania and David. Room perfect, view outstanding, breakfast delicious, I'm now running out of superlatives! As 99.99 of the previous reviews have stated it's the place to stay in Whitby, the one lady reviewer who stated that the lady owner lets it down is... More

Tania and David are welcoming from the very first moment to the last. Lovely sense of humors. Very knowledgeable and willing to provide additional information as requested. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and updated. Easy walk into the towne center. We parked our car on the street for two days and walked everywhere. There were five in our group and... More

Tania and David instantly made us feel at home upon arrival. The rooms were well equipped and spotlessly clean. After a good nights sleep in very comfortable beds we were treated to a top notch breakfast - cereals, fruit, toast and a lovely cooked full Yorkshire (English) breakfast. Other options for breakfast were available and the Smoked Kipper was most... More

Thank you for taking the time to post a lovely review of your stay at The Waverley, we are very pleased that you enjoyed it. Unfortunately whitby no longer has free parking on the West Cliff, as you said we do have very limited parking at the rear, however we purchase visitor permits which cost no more than £1 for... More

David and Tania make you feel welcome from the moment you set foot inside their lovely hotel. The rooms are immaculate and comfortable, there is plenty of choice at breakfast including the local kippers (highly recommended). The hotel is situated with 10 minutes stroll of the centre of Whitby where there is an excellent choice of pubs and restaurants in... More

Thank you Allison for taking the time to post a very nice review of ourselves & The Waverley, very pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. There are lots of good things about this B&B and some not so good but the lady that owns it has to be the worst. When we first arrived I asked what we should do with the car (as everywhere is permit) and her reply was "park it?" in very sarcastic tone. When I asked about a permit she was... More

Well, what absolute twaddle, the only part that you got correct was the breakfast description, fortunately for us & unfortunately for you all of our previous reviews from our lovely guests paint a very different picture, so I guess that nobody will find your contribution very helpful at all. Please do stop at one of the "classier" establishments next time... More
