We had a short stay at the hotel and can honestly say what service. Everything from staff, room meals were absolutely brilliant. We shall certainly stay at this hotel again. Exceptional in value, service and cleanliness. Super - terrific - excellent. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Judy and Morris Spencer more

The Seacliffe hotel is ideally situated at the Northern End of West Cliff, it is within easy walking distance of the town and all the other attractions. The Owners and staff are always friendly courteous, and helpfull. The rooms are a little small however this has been recognised by the current owners and a planned refurbishment is underway during 2009,... more

Booked for two nights but after seeing the miniscule bedroom, hearing the builders banging in the room next door and the power going off, decided to only stay one night. Informed the owner of our decision and she was not pleased (in fact, confrontational!) Should have seen the writing on the wall but made the mistake of eating there that... more

14 people, friends and family descended on this hotel for a weekend break, the breakfast choice was good and one night we had an evening meal for us all, nobody complained so that speaks volumes, some rooms were larger than others but again it is a place to sleep and dress not stay in all day. Never having been to... more

Only arrival, the hotel is nicely situated on the sea front back from the cliff, 10 minutes walk from the town centre. My wife and I had checked this hotel out before booking on the internet and decided to book based on the room pictures. When we arrived I was disappointed to find that the room did not match the... more

We booked a double room in the hotel for 2 nights. We were put in the attic room which is supposed to have a sea view room but it could hardly be classed as that as the window is really small and high up in the corner of the room. The shower was awful, wasn't even tall enough to be... more

We were attracted to The Seacliffe because it is a pet-friendly hotel situated in an enviable position overlooking the sea and harbour. The location is ideal for walking along the beach. We were lucky in that we had great weather and the opportunity to walk with our little spaniel from Whitby to Sandsend along the watersedge - gorgeous! Our room... more

Upon arrival at reception, my 2 young sons and i were made to feel very welcome. Our family holel room was quite compact, which we didn't mind as we was only there for a weekend. The whole room, bed linen and towels was spotless! The room overlooked the sea which was beautiful and also had views of the Abbey! Breakfast... more

This was our second visit to the Seacliffe and we would have no hesitation in recommending it. The owners and staff are pleasant, friendly and helpful. Ensuite rooms very clean and comfortable. Breakfast menu lovely with a good choice. Represents excellent value for money. Has a private car park at the front of the hotel. We like it because of... more

I stayed at this B.B. and when I booked over the phone I was informed of a good view overlooking the Harbour. Not the case, when I told the landlady she denied all knowledge of saying this although their web site also boast this.Very small room and a bathroom about as big as a w.c on a plane. I asked... more
