We visited The Seacliffe Hotel this summer. We paid a bit extra for a seaview room, which was up a couple of flights of stairs: OK for us as we are quite fit. There was a nice view of the North Promenade and the sea with no buildings inbetween. The hotel is very clean and served very good breakfasts. Most... More

This hotel stood out from the others in accepting a single overnight stay - many others insisted on at least 2 nights. It was quite expensive, but the town was busy due to a weekend music festival, so that would have justified higher pricing everywhere. About 15 mins walk from Whitby town, and just a few mins to the beach.... More

Me and my husband stayed here for the first time to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary. .. the service was very good. We were made to feel welcome straight away... we arrived at 11.30 but couldn't get into our room until 2pm so we just went into town. We found that the bed was comfortable and with being on the... We stayed here for two nights recently, having booked quite late. The hotel is very nice, with clean modern (though small) rooms, good food, and very helpful and friendly staff. The only complaint I had was that though I didn't expect any heating to be on in August, there was no way to dry towels, and I spent the last... More

stayed here for a overnight stop in aug. wasn't value for money, clean rooms, good breakfast, but the bed and pillows very uncomfortable, it is in a nice location, free wi fi in room didn't work. paid for a superior room, but didn't think it was worth the money, although we had a nice sea view.

1st time my wife and i had been to Whitby and after a 2 hour drive in a cold october morning this place is exactly what we wanted. It was easy to find, parking on the road outside and a nice friendly welcome as we entered. the room was small but very clean. It had everything needed and if not... More
