We visited twice during a family stay at the nearby Mortar Barn, for a midweek lunch and then for a last day breakfast. The breakfast in particular was excellent: a traditional full English featuring incredibly tasty sausage, good meaty (fried!) bacon, fried egg, mushrooms, beans and fresh tomato. All cooked to order and served with a smile. The lunch menu... More

Lovely little camp site perfect for quiet get aways, not much there for kids but Whitby is only a 5 minute drive away, didn't get chance to try there home made ice cream but will be going again next summer :)

After over 20 years we still keep coming back to this great little site at least once a year. It hasn't changed that much in all the years which we like and still a very friendly helpful family. As it was a bank holiday it was very busy & I could hear one family talking loudly until at least 2.45... More

Just got back from camping here. What an awesome site. Very relax. They just let you choose wherever you want to pitch. All the staff are very nice and friendly. Our kids love the place as they make ice cream and I tell you what, they are so tasty. There's a nice little playground right in the middle of the... More

We stayed here for 2nights and found the staff very friendly and helpful, we only paid £36 with unlimited electric, its a basic campsite with a park, cafe and toilet blocks but for a couple of nights thats all you need. Only bad issues where the pressure in the showers where bad and you have to pay 20p for and... More

Great value for money, cheap and cheerful. Very friendly staff and in a lovely part of Whitby. Will defiantly visit again next summer. The site questioned down at the right time for families. The facilities are basic but are what you would expect while camping. Our 2 yr old loved looking at the animals on site.

Just returned from a lovely 3 night stay here. Was really back to nature, (which is what you want if you are camping, I guess)? No frills, but everything we wanted. Toilets are OK, they are cleaned regularly, but remember, you are on a field on a farm, so you may get dust / bugs / muddy footprints and so... More

We chose this camp site due to it's family-friendly nature. We were meeting up with friends and this was our first time camping with babies and young children. The owners allowed us to pay for 2-3 days at a time, as we weren't confident the babies would take to it. However, they were fine and we all loved our time... More

Been visiting beacon farm for many years, great campsite with all the facilities you need for throughout your stay, owned by a very friendly family who are welcoming and always happy to help. They also have a cafe & icecream parlour which does fantastic ice cream, also an onsite shop & outdoor play park. from the Jones family.
