This was my second trip to Intake Farm on the C2C trail. We loved this place. The whole atmosphere of the farm is charming and authentic. The afternoon tea and scones were greatly appreciated. We always like to visit a pub, if possible, but the farm is remote. So Judith scurried around and found a variety of beers for us... More

Judith and Robert welcomed us warmly when we walked into the farm across their fields from the Quebec farms. Judith prepared a lovely roast dinner ( pre-ordered) for us, we brought our wine from Grosmont, and the meal was lovely, a most pleasant evening. Good breakfast next day, pleasant stay overnight, and good home made bread for sandwiches lunch to... More

Back for about the 20th time for a lovely stay with Judith and Robert who never fail to treat us like family. This a lovely working farm with a big farm home with nice inviting rooms and heavenly comfortable beds. Great shower, fantastic home style dinner, breakfast to your liking and the nicest hosts you will ever find. Beautiful area.... More

We stayed with Judith 7 years ago when we walked the Coast to Coast and had such positive memories of it that we stayed there again this September when we revisited the walk. We were greeted with the same friendliness, as well as tea and scones in the garden. The bedrooms have been upgraded and they all have their own... More

A lovely place to stay while walking the Coast to Coast. We arrived late and while pitching the tent we were treated to scones and a cup of tea - all unexpected and welcomed. The field is kempt and perfectly positioned by the farm house with a slight walk to the toilet. Judith was very accommodating and the farmer was... More

Stayed here one night while on coast to coast. Excellent reception from Judith with coffee and cake on arrival. There is no pub or eatery nearby. We had a lovely dinner cooked by her and I felt like I was visiting my mum or an old friend, as things were very relaxed. Judith kindly dried all my clothes and made... More

We recently stayed at the Intake Farm the day before we completed our Coast to Coast journey. We were warmly greeted by Judith who you can tell enjoys meeting her guests. She offered food and tea. The farm is out in the country near Littlebeck so no pub in walking distance but Judith offers a lovely dinner meal which everyone... More

We arrived here just as the rain started and we were booked in for camping. Judith warmly invited us all into her home (including our dog!) and made us a lovely cup of tea and served us home made scones – just what we needed after a long day walking! When the rain stopped, we pitched our tents in the... More

The welcome to intake farm made our holiday. We were greeted by Judith who immediately made tea and coffee, a very welcome surprise after a long days walk! The welcome was warm, and we felt treated like family. The perfect end to a day. At first sight the facilities are not the most modern you will come across, but do... More

Our welcome typified the quality of this stop. Judith not only offered us tea on arrival but was prepared to sit down with us and talk about our walk, despite no doubt having much else to do with a busy working farm and looking after a high turnover of guests. Not luxurious but good old fashioned home comforts and being... More
