Thiscwas not a lodging we requestedcwhen we booked thru Sherpa, but due to availability it was added to our itinerary. When we arrived I was little taken back by disarray of home and kitchen, but it ended up being one of the most enchanting and unique stays of our entire C2C trek. The hostess was a delight, her meals were... More

Judith and her husband have a definite working farm with all the expected sights and smells. Bottle feeding a couple orphaned lambs was fun. The room and lounge were comfortable, the breakfast very good, and Judith very hospitable.

We were walking the coast to coast Wainwright trail. Judith welcomed us with tea and home made cake in her kitchen. That set the scene for a wonderful dinner and delicious breakfast. We left the following morning having been shown the lambs which had been born during the night. I could not recommend this delightful place more!

The farm is very remote and a long haul up, up, up the road. Even though all the pub meals have been outstanding along the C2C trail it was so great to have a 'home cooked meal' - a chicken pie & veg, then a apple cake for desert. Great to also have a 'farm stay'. We met up with... More

This was my second trip to Intake Farm on the C2C trail. We loved this place. The whole atmosphere of the farm is charming and authentic. The afternoon tea and scones were greatly appreciated. We always like to visit a pub, if possible, but the farm is remote. So Judith scurried around and found a variety of beers for us... More

Judith and Robert welcomed us warmly when we walked into the farm across their fields from the Quebec farms. Judith prepared a lovely roast dinner ( pre-ordered) for us, we brought our wine from Grosmont, and the meal was lovely, a most pleasant evening. Good breakfast next day, pleasant stay overnight, and good home made bread for sandwiches lunch to... More

We stayed with Judith 7 years ago when we walked the Coast to Coast and had such positive memories of it that we stayed there again this September when we revisited the walk. We were greeted with the same friendliness, as well as tea and scones in the garden. The bedrooms have been upgraded and they all have their own... More

A lovely place to stay while walking the Coast to Coast. We arrived late and while pitching the tent we were treated to scones and a cup of tea - all unexpected and welcomed. The field is kempt and perfectly positioned by the farm house with a slight walk to the toilet. Judith was very accommodating and the farmer was... More

Stayed here one night while on coast to coast. Excellent reception from Judith with coffee and cake on arrival. There is no pub or eatery nearby. We had a lovely dinner cooked by her and I felt like I was visiting my mum or an old friend, as things were very relaxed. Judith kindly dried all my clothes and made... More
