As with many people I stayed there during the Coast to Coast walk. A very warm and friendly place, the home cooked food was superb. The showers were fantasic and the beds were comfy. They even have WiFi, a rarity on the coast to coast.

I camped here on the final night of my Coast to Coast walk in March and it was a lovely place to stay. I see another reviewer has said it's a bad place to camp. I couldn't disagree more. Aside from having the best grass to put my tent on for the whole walk(!), you can use the shower and... More

We had a delightful stay in this incredibly peaceful B&B on a working farm. Would recommend it to all as being excellent value for money and receiving a warm welcome.

Walking the C2 C we stayed at Intake farm.We were welcomed with a cup of tea and a piece of homemade cake in a bit of a chaotic but cosy kitchen. An hour later we were still in that kitchen because we had so much to talk about. In the meantime Judith went on preparing the meal for that evening which... More

Our stay at Intake farm was the last night of the coast to coast walk, talk about ending in style, it was fabulous. Judith and her husband made us most welcome, taking us into the kitchen and supplying mugs of tea and cake. The rooms were spotlessly clean and modern. We had our evening meal and there must have been... More

This B and B confirmed our views that the best B and B's on the Coast to Coast are working farms. We were welcomed into the kitchen and sat down with tea and cake while Judith and her daughter started preparing the evening meal - for 12 of us! (there was a party of 8 Canadians staying at the same... More

We camped our last night of our C2C here. We were greeted with the warmest welcome of the trip, a cuppa & fantastic cake. We had heard Judith was an excellent cook from two gentlemen doing the Pennine way & they were not wrong! Judith is the definition of a 'multi tasker', whipping up a pear upside down cake &... More

During our Coast to Coast Walk we camped in the garden of Intake Farm, but on arrival we were welcomed in to the kitchen where Judith and her daughter were hard at work preparing a 3 course evening meal for the B & B guests and us. She still had time to chat , give us tea and cake and... More

Nothing pretentious about this place-it was a home not a hotel. Judith was amazing, conjuring up 3 courses for 9 people. The fire was lit and we sat with other guests and discussed our days. The best bit was eating together around the table. We sat and talked for hours – brilliant. Slept very well in the large family room.... More

Excellent accommodation including evening meal which was lovely. Can see why people go back here time and time again. Hope we can come back for longer next time.
