After taking our seats as confirmed by a member of staff, we were ejected by a female door attendant who was half way through her lunch based on it was still in her mouth as she engaged in our eviction.

We have been to The Dolphin on a number of occasions when in Whitby and have always found the food very good. Again it didn't disappoint. We had haddock and chips. There was more than enough to eat. It was served within a reasonable time and it tasted as though it had been freshly cooked. Very enjoyable. The staff were... More

Stayed here at short notice and had a lovely room overlooking the harbour. The bathroom was lovely and all the fixtures and fittings in the room were nice and modern. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay again

The pub was busy but at no point were we told there was a wait however after an hour we had to ask where our food was. The person who had taken our food order (the "bouncer" apparently) came over to us... More

The pub was busy while the bridge was off. It has a nice area on the front just infront of the bridge. Inside looks ok the staff were a bit miserable, nothing special it was all really sticky on the tables and we had to move 3 times to get one that did not rock. We never stayed in the... More

Breakfast service needs a tweek ,we waited an hour for our English breakfast, there were only 3 tables occupied. when it at last came out ,the order was wrong ,so the waitress took it back to the kitchen twice to rearrange the plate ,and then when we...
