Both my husband and I wanted a short break away at new year and because we love the north Yorkshire moors decided to visit Grosmont. The area is lovely and because of the near vicinity of the steam trains interesting. The choice of where to stay was sheer chance just an online browse. We definitely made the best choice the... We booked on a bit of a whim, given that the Husband was running in the Hardmoors marathon and we realy didn't want to schlep back to Leeds after such an ordeal and having read the reviews on the booking site, thought it would be a good choice. From the very first contact we had with the owners (on the... More

My wife and I and our 7yr old son stayed in the family room. We were there for a two night break. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The landlord and staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had a meal there on the first night and the food was great, as was breakfast.... More

I recently stayed here for a couple of nights with my dog. Reasonable rates, comfortable bed and all areas were clean and tidy. breakfast was great. The bar menu is basic pub food but very generous helpings and well cooked. Best cod I have ever tasted. Bar staff and landlord were very friendly. I would definitely go again.

My fiancée & I stayed at the Station Tavern, Grosmont, on the 29th August 2014. We were due to go on the North Yorkshire Pullman dining train, that evening. From the moment we entered we were treated in a kind & friendly , but professional manner. The room was clean & comfortable, with plenty of tea & coffee The bathroom... More

Friendly welcome and clean rooms. Stopped here on the coast to coast walk and had a fun evening dining with other walkers and tasty meal with great views over the station platform. Good value and accept dogs

We were staying in another B & B not far away. My Friend had been on the North Yorkshire Raikway all day and were famished and thirsty and entered this tavern as it is just outside the Station. The menu was good with a variety of dishes to choose from the food was well cooked and plenty on the plate,... More

This is a B & B that gives B & B’s a bad reputation. It is dirty (Very) the bathroom, I felt dirtier when I came out then when I went in and after a 24 mile days walk believe me I was dirty when I went in. The whole place is grubby. I stayed here during the Coast to... More
