We stayed in the ground floor apartment for three nights in early June. The apartment itself is linear, with a linking corridor. The first room is the living/dining/kitchenette, then the second bedroom, bathroom and master at the end of the hall. Everything was very clean although the couches and cushions are looking a little tired. The views from every room... More

This is the second time we have visited and the place never ceases to amaze! We stayed in appt 3 which offers fantastic views of both the sea, the harbour and the Abbey. Washing up has never been so enjoyable; just a stones throw from the lapping incoming tide. Likewise waking up in the comfortable bedrooms and watching the sunrise.... More

We stayed for 3 nights in the Easter holidays and we wished we had booked a week! Wonderful views, spotlessly clean, comfortable and very well equipped. A big thank you to the lovely lady who came in to clean as we were leaving, she was so friendly and chatty and said it was no problem that our 2 kids had... More

We stayed in Apartment 4 and were pleasantly surprised at how lovely it is. The layout is very good, the rooms are a good size, and the living area is very homely. The apartment is situated on the first floor of the building, which is essentially in the loft area and the views are stunning but just be careful not... More

Great place to stay if you do not have a car as everything is in walking distance and the views of the harbour and Abbey can waste plenty of time ! Only 2 niggles , the lack of real shower in Apartment 2 . It has been a few year since I had to crouch in a bath but it... More

YOU COULD NOT GET A BETTER POSITIONED ACCOMODATION IN WHITBY THAN THIS..WHICH MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO FORGIVE THE LITTLE PROBLEMS YOU CAN ENCOUNTER.I WOULDNT HESITATE TO RETURN AS IS ..BUT IF THE OWNERS WERE TO SORT OUT TWO FRUSTRATING NIGGLES..IT WOULD BE FAULTLESS! 1/ The lock on the front door..ie.. it self locks as door closes.. if your running up... These apartments are great for a family or two couples. they are in a fantastic location on the Khyber pass. easy to find, parking is good (free) but may be a little difficult in summer months. The accomodation is very clean and well presented with great views over the piers, the abbey and sea. Two very little niggles. Apartment 4... More

We stayed at the Old Boatman's Shelter in July. We had read reviews that there wasn't a shower and that the windows were hard to open but we were delighted to find that the windows had all been replaced and a new shower had been fitted. The week was glorious and we made sure we got up early in the... More
