We visit Highstraggleton farm all the time and have been going for years. Its changed a lot over the years and has got so much busier. This is a no frills working farm so be prepared to see derek and his team busy at work as he is always developing the site. Within walking distance to whitby town centre and... More

Having stayed here a couple of years ago I was astonished how this site has changed.Yes there are more facilities like pot washing shed a few more bins and taps but this does not detract from the lack of cleanliness of the facilities. The total lack of any rules re dogs on leads and cars driving along the field with... More

If you want an all singing and dancing camp site this is defintley not for you. good location near to sands end and Whitby. we have stayed here 3 times, cheap and cheerful. This is a working dairy farm, so yes it smells and they may be flys, but it's 16.50 a night with hook up. Pitch sizes are as... More

we stayed here for 10 days in our motorhome. The views were beautiful. I have read the previous couple of reviews and can honestly say they don't add up. We were offered a pitch and asked if we were happy with it, then Derek helped us level up, he couldn't have done more. Yes the electric boxes are on the... More

We were surprised to be shown to a place in a field surrounded by other campers (we had a small campervan and a tiny 2-man tent) which didn't feel altogether safe, as cars were driving in all directions. The shower did not work for me so had to rinse off with freezing cold water, and the toilets absolutely stunk. There... More

I cant imagine that the reviewers were on this same site as I have just left are they mad ?? This site is a health and safety catastrophe waiting to happen, I understand its a working farm but the smell is horrendous, rubbish and rubble everywhere, there are unsafe large gas bottles just waiting to fall onto some unsuspecting child,... Stayed here for a long weekend in the "Willerby Vogue", very well appointed and spacious caravan with one double (with ensuite toilet and sink) and one twin room. Plenty of space in the kitchen and living area for us 4 adults. Kitchen very well equipped and all very clean. I guess about 2 miles to Whitby and lovely views from... More

Just stayed here last week for 1 week in the Willerby aspen caravan and what can I say .... excellent !!! Just me and my daughter for the week and husband and mother arrived end of week for family party . Weather wasn't overly great for us and the rain left the farm site a bit boggy but doesn't put... Just returned from a lovely relaxing weekend at High Straggleton Farm. Stunning views over the sea from Sandsend across to the abbey & pier. This site is an hidden gem especially if you wish to chill out. It is basic what you see is what you get & part of a working farm so if your expecting children play equipment,... More
