I wrote title in capitals because this site is what it is yes you can stay at the site next door and it's pretty and in nice packed regimented rows but for the ten pounds more it costs a night I can think of many better things to do with the money. This site is a nice place to be.... More

We arrived at this site on Good Friday quite late on. We initially booked one night but ended up staying three nights. When we rang up to book (only 15 minutes before arriving) we were told that it’s a working farm and we were fine with this. When other sites are full, this site may be a good option. Owners... More

We visit Highstraggleton farm all the time and have been going for years. Its changed a lot over the years and has got so much busier. This is a no frills working farm so be prepared to see derek and his team busy at work as he is always developing the site. Within walking distance to whitby town centre and... More

Having stayed here a couple of years ago I was astonished how this site has changed.Yes there are more facilities like pot washing shed a few more bins and taps but this does not detract from the lack of cleanliness of the facilities. The total lack of any rules re dogs on leads and cars driving along the field with... More

If you want an all singing and dancing camp site this is defintley not for you. good location near to sands end and Whitby. we have stayed here 3 times, cheap and cheerful. This is a working dairy farm, so yes it smells and they may be flys, but it's 16.50 a night with hook up. Pitch sizes are as... More

we stayed here for 10 days in our motorhome. The views were beautiful. I have read the previous couple of reviews and can honestly say they don't add up. We were offered a pitch and asked if we were happy with it, then Derek helped us level up, he couldn't have done more. Yes the electric boxes are on the... More

We were surprised to be shown to a place in a field surrounded by other campers (we had a small campervan and a tiny 2-man tent) which didn't feel altogether safe, as cars were driving in all directions. The shower did not work for me so had to rinse off with freezing cold water, and the toilets absolutely stunk. There... More

This site is a health and safety catastrophe waiting to happen, I understand its a working farm but the smell is horrendous, rubbish and rubble everywhere, there are unsafe large gas bottles just waiting to fall onto some unsuspecting child,...
