Very modern and open plan. That is jaccuzzi in the room and no cubicle for the toilet. You have to be really good friends to share the room. Our party had rooms 5 and 6 Beautiful decoration and location fantastic, right on the harbour. Staff could not have been more helpful, carrying our bags both on arival and departure. Breakfast... Lovely room with a large jaccuzzi And a seperate shower. Very large room with TV couch and a small Glass table and chairs. Central location. A tad expensive at £135 a night as no view. Breakfast was very good and we were told we could have it there or at the Marine their sister residence. If you arrive by car... More

We headed to Whitby as a pair ob bikers and pitched up dusty and carrying rucksacks and helmets. We were immediately welcomed given a free parking pass and taken to room number 5. With its sunken jacuzzi bath, comfortable bed and modern decor it had everything we wanted. After a wander round town we sat in the window gazing at... More

Lovely room in the converted loft space, very quiet with a lovely view. Tea, coffee, biscuits and bottled water provided is a nice touch. We had the choice of having breakfast at the Moon and Sixpence or The Marine, it's sister hotel, just down the road. We decided to try The Marine as we'd had a great meal there the... More

Right in the centre of town on the waterfront. Nice room, lovely loft conversion. Breakfast is in the pub downstairs. Will give you a parking pass for roadside parking for the duration of your stay. Nice staff.

We enjoyed a drink until we were told the table was reserved at 16.00 this was 15.58 unacceptable the round came to £16.70 and we were treated like second class citizens because we sat in the window No reserved signs by the way This has spoiled a nice day in whitby Avoid around 16.00 pm if you want time to... Was shocked to be told at 3:58 that the table we were sat at was reserved for 4:00. We could have sat at another table had we been informed when we ordered our drinks but the table was taken by the time we were informed we had had to move. A little customer service and forethought could have easily remedeed... More

The Moon and Sixpence is on the pedestrian part of the harbour front, which poses your first test "where to park when unloading?" Staff are helpful and advise quickly by phone. Our room (room 6) was large (very large) and airy with a _huge_ jacuzzi bath and a comfortable bed (hooray for comfortable hotel beds). This room mostly faces the... More
