Just got back home after a 3 night stay at the arches. Many thanks to dave and all the staff. Our room was spotlessly clean and my daughter loved the single bed (no bunk beds in room 5)! The breakfast was really good. My husband loved the fruit salad and home made jam. As a family we really needed this... More

I stayed two nights in July and wish I might have stayed more. Everything was just ideal about this place, from the prompt, warm welcome that the proprietor, Dave, gave me (before he had even shown me to my room he offered me a cuppa), to the small but well-provisioned room, to the excellent full English breakfasts. Located on a... More

I have just got back from spending 4 nights at the Arches. I had a lovely single room, Room 4 on the first floor at the front of the house. Everything there I could possibly need. Small en-suite with a great shower. Room spotless and bed very comfy, house very quiet at night-time. Dave and his team have got everything... More

We stayed at the Arches in July 2014 for 3 nights. The room was spotless, I'm asthmatic and have a severe allergic reaction to dust mites, I had no reactions. The breakfast was served within 5 minutes of us arriving in the dining room, piping hot, well cooked and delicious. The proprietors were friendly and approachable, giving advice on the... More

We stayed at The Arches 27/06-01/07 and had a thoroughly lovely experience. We arrived to a warm and friendly welcome, were shown to our room, and were served a pot of proper "Yorkshire" tea and scrumptious biscuits whilst breakfast times, parking permits etc were explained to us. Our room was spotless with beautiful soft bed linen, fluffy plump towels, quality... More
