Let fiance and I stayed here earlier in the year. We stayed in the dog friendly room. There was nothing provided for the dog so good job I packed a bowl. The owners were lovely and breakfast was delishious. I requested the fat cut off my bacon, and surely enough it was. I would recommend staying here, the location is... More

Thank you for your lovely response. our breakfasts are noted for their quality and size. we do like to ask guests to place their orders the night before as this enable us to supply bespoke breakfast , and at same time avoid unnecessary wastage. This helps us suit a array of dietary needs. our food is cooked freshly in the morning... This is not a 4 Star B&B. 1) Breakfast orders are only accepted the night before. 2) No changes because sausages and bacon are pre-cooked the night before ! 3) Attic rooms are cramped. 4) Sheets & towels smell strongly of cheap fabric freshener.

This individual was allocated this guesthouse by the folk society who fund his stay. It was clear he did not want to be here from the minute his miserable face appeared at the door. He decided he did not want abide by our simple respectful rules and was awkward for the full week. We do breakfast menu,s the night before... More

We booked this last minute and we're not disappointed. Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and comfy. Breakfast choice great and good quality (all meat, eggs etc is local produce). No question that we will book this next time we want to visit.

many thanks for your lovely review, like other guests who stay here who have enjoyed our hospitality. Our produce is high quality and freshly cooked in the morning. please note only menu,s have to be filled in by bedtime which allows us to defrost any meats or fish dishes that need to be cooked , this helps efficiency and guests... We stayed in the family room for 5 nights, lovely and spacious, clean, all toiletries provided and hospitality tray well stocked and restocked everyday. Only fault we found was sash on window had broken but a very welcome fan was provided. Andy and Alison are very welcoming and friendly but not in your face all the time. Breakfast was huge... More

thankyou for your honest review, we pride ourselves on giving guests a breakfast to suit their specific needs. we do this by asking guests to fill in menu's the evening before, this way we can give guests more of what they like rather than just providing a breakfast with little or no choice. our choices are extensive but if you... We booked two rooms for a 2 night stay in Whitby and we made a very good choice staying at the Seacrest. Our two dogs were made very welcome and the rooms mare than adequate for our stay. We were told our room was the compact room which was not a problem at all as it had all the facilities... More

Just back after a night's stay in one of the family rooms. Room no5 didn't get the abbey view but room was very cosy and clean. Super day out and would recommend to the seacrest all who are planning a day to the lovely wee town.
