This was my last stop before Robin Hoods Bay. If you're doing the Coast-to-Coast walk, you are looking for a hot shower, a comfortable bed, quiet surroundings, and easy access to a nearby pub. While the pub is a little bit of a hike, Red House Farm hits on all of these counts and much more. I received a warm... More

Our C2C group stayed here in Glaisdale for 1 night. What a gorgeous place! Beautifully restored 17th C farmhouse decorated with care and taste. Everything worked, and the bed was comfy. Our ensuite had a bath for which we were very grateful after a 30km walk. Breakfast the next morning was delicious - Sandra makes great porridge as well as... More

Surely the best place to stay in the area with wonderfully accommodating friendly hosts who attend to any need you could possibly have. Beautiful old farmhouse building, spotless well-equipped rooms. Also a great breakfast - when i couldn't eat it all they even offered to make up a bacon sandwich to take with me on my return home. No hesitation... More

We stayed in this nice little B and B for a few days in August 2014. What an incredibly nice, historic home. Our room was spotless, the bathroom facilities were in good working order and the amenities were very nice. The host and hostess, Mr. and Mrs. Spashett, were very accommodating and personable. They both had a wonderful sense of... More

My wife and I and two of our close friends recently completed a 4 night stay at the Red House Farm Bed and Breakfast in Glaisdale. Tom and Sandra were gracious and entertaining hosts. Our accommodations were very comfortable, had quality amenities, and lots of hot water! The breakfasts were freshly prepared by our hosts and were delicious. It was... More

As we came off the Moors looking rather wet and bedraggled, Sandra opened up her drying room, conservatory and kitchen to us and it was soon filled with our soggy biking gear. Nothing was too much trouble and we were soon dry and comfy with a cup of tea in front of us. Sandra booked a table for us at... More

Dear Leonie, Thank you so much for your lovely review. We were just about ready to call it a day on Coast-to-Coasters after E.S.'s review, but your kind review restored our faith in having Coast-to-Coast guests in our home. Kindest regards & many thanks. Tom & Sandra Spashett More

Walked the coast to coast back in May, and stayed at 19 B&Bs along the way. This one was the only place we stayed that was a disappointment. We did not feel welcome, and couldn't wait to leave in the morning. There was no hot water, the electricity went out during the night. There was nothing special about the breakfast.... More

We have just had a glorious weekend staying in the main building at Red House Farm! When we arrived we were greeted with a pot of tea, plate of biscuits and friendly smiles and chat. Lots of period features bring a charming and welcoming feel to this gorgeous building. It was lovely sitting on the window seat with a cup... More

We stopped at Red House Farm on day 13 of our Coast to Coast walk. The farm comprises a group of buildings dating from the mid-1600s. It is only ¼ mile off the coast to coast path. It no longer operates as a farm but it is still a smallholding with a few longhorn cows, hens and ducks. The main... More
