We stayed two nights at this beautiful B&B, and I can say that this is the best one I've stayed at. Greeted by the super-friendly Peter and Paula, and the loveable Denzil the Golden Doodle haha, we immediately felt welcomed into their home. The rooms were really cosy and warm which was exactly what you wanted when outside was colder... More

A lovely traditional b&b ran by. Some of the warmest, friendliest, most enthusiastic helpful people you'll ever meet. Can't say enough nice things about the place. Nice rooma, good facilities and a great breakfast.

We stayed for 3 nights at The Riftswood; great atmosphere, created mainly by Paula (landlady), with help form Peter (husband). Breakfast was to die for. Very impressed by Paula calling me to confess to an overpayment and for her to send me my overpayment back in the post. Genuine people, genuinely great weekend, fully recommended.

Peter and Paula are the perfect hosts in this lovely B&B. Nothing was too much trouble for either of them. A large bedroom with en suite warm and very comfortable. A very warm welcome with a choice of drinks and cakes. A special occasion for us (Wedding anniversary) made even better by meeting Denzil, the friendliest dog you could wish... More

We stayed in the superior double room, very spacious with a lovely comfortable double bed. Breakfast was a delicious selection of cereals, fruit, toast plus a full cooked breakfast (pre ordered the night before so you get exactly what you like, a very good idea if you're a fussy eater like me!) Very welcoming hosts, we were greeted with the... More

The hosts Paula and Peter are absolutely lovely, warm and friendly characters with big smiles. We were even offered a glass of wine and slice of cake on arrival! We had the most beautiful Victorian room which was very clean and fresh. We really appreciated the personalised letter and 'design your own breakfast' list in the room. It's a brilliant... More

This place is a little gem in Whitby. Offering just 3 guest rooms, we had a very warm welcome from Paula on the Friday we arrived. We were brought wine and fruit cake to our room which was a lovely touch. Both Paula and Peter were excellent hosts. The breakfasts were superb ( be careful what you order as their... More
