We only booked the week before so were really pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Gary and Karen are great hosts. Our rooms were very comfortable and the breakfasts brilliant. We will certainly be back.

This delightful B.and B. was ideally suited for our first stay in Whitby. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our visit, particul- ly with advice on restaurants and sorting out R's visit to Scarborough Cricket Ground. The room was very well appointed and comfortable and the quality and choice... More

This was a return visit for my husband and I and once again we were not disappointed. Gary and Karen are wonderful hosts. Once again greeting us with a coffee and a slice of Karen's homemade cake. A lovely touch. Our room was very comfortable and the breakfasts superb. We shall certainly be back next year and would not dream... More

We arrived at a very difficult time for the hosts who were preparing for the funeral of a close family member. Despite this, Gary and Karen managed to provide a high level of service to their guest throughout. Our room was on the ground floor, but was comfortable, and very quiet and we were not disturbed in the morning by other... What a fabulous little bnb. Every single detail is catered for from the welcome with a cup of tea/coffee and a slice of cake to the very end when you check out. There is an information booklet in the dining room packed full of menus and comments from all of the restaurants in Whitby and I have seen people have... More

We have been staying here regularly now for a few years, the most recent being in June 2014. Previously we had tried many B & B in Whitby - this is by far the best. So look no further! All rooms are to the highest standard and the beds are so comfortable. I've had my best nights sleeps here. Karen... More

We arrived on 11th August for a 3 night stay in the Abbey room and were met at the door by Garry who led us straight to the breakfast room. Karen then asked us if we wanted homemade cake and a drink (fantastic little touch which shows how much thought is put into making your stay just that bit better).... More

Stayed here several times and just keeps getting better and better, Karen and Garry are the best hosts ever coming back here is like coming home. The rooms are spotlessly clean and beds are so comfortable. Breakfast is delicious with different specials on each day. We can't wait to visit again.

One of the best guest houses we have stayed in. Great attention to detail and the care and effort that Gary and Karen have put into the presentation was obvious to see. Warm welcome (with lovely cake), comfortable room and delicious breakfast. Just a few minutes walk to the town and its amenities. Would definitely like to stay again and... More
