What a beautiful hotel in an attractive village. Lovely bedroom and public areas. Great biscuits in room (lovely touch) and breakfasts. Little disappointed in the evening meals promised more than was produced - but otherwise a fantastic stay. Would definitely go back.

My husband and I live locally to the Traddock but decided we would treat ourselves to a weekend away at the hotel. It is actually in the little village of Austwick. This is a pretty village in the midst of the limestone dales north of Settle. The hotel itself was great and lived up to expectations. Our room was individualised... More

Stayed here for one night on business purposes and it was a treat. Staff couldn't possibly have been any more helpful and courteous. The hotel is small and has very cosy and intimate feel to it. Wonderful views and the lounge area provides a welcoming feel if you fancy time-out to read a book. Food selection was very good and... More

The Traddock is a fantastic, family run hotel with spectacular views of the Yorkshire hills and ambiance created by the staff and surroundings second to none. The food is excellent and the breakfast sets you up for a day's walking. The bedrooms are stylish and are well stocked with home made biscuits and coffee. They consider dogs as part of... More

Our second stay with a five year gap between. Still just as comfortable, with the lovely extras such as fresh milk in the room and the most superb homemade biscuits. Lovely view from the window seat in room 11, and a quiet room even though overlooking the car park. Excellent breakfast as always, which could not be faulted. Dinner a... More

This lived up to all expectations. From the moment we arrived, when we were helped with our bags, to check-in, dinner and breakfast, we were well looked-after. The room was so comfortable and with all those little 'extras' that can make the difference: hot chocolate, biscuits and various teas in the room and lovely toiletries provided....in eco-friendly packaging. Wonderful food... More

We recently attended The Traddock for our friends wedding. We stayed friday to Sunday and loved everything about this hotel. The staff are very warm and welcoming and the owners work around you to make it feel you are staying in an old edwardian house. The food overall is excellent, breakfast was lovely, as are the rooms. And the location... More

I wanted to choose somewhere special for our 40th wedding anniversary and picked the Traddock for a 3 night break. It looked very pleasant in the photos and was dog friendly so we could take our westie too. It is situated in a delightful village and there are lovely walks straight from the hotel. The whole hotel is beautifully decorated... More

Having read Tripadvisor reviews, booked a 2 night stay (B&B) in this hotel. Booking was straight forward and efficient. Pros: Hotel is set in a quaint, quiet, very small village, Austwick - 4 miles from Settle (bigger village) with lot of pubs and eateries. Garden in the hotel and eating area is great. Garden is well maintained. Played cricket with... More

Our original plan was a day out. We’d always wanted to try the Carlisle to Settle rail journey and we could easily manage there and back in a day. At 10.30pm, the night before we set out we thought, let’s stay somewhere. Trip Advisor’s No.1 hotel was our first choice; we called, nabbed the last room and packed for a... More
