Having read Tripadvisor reviews, booked a 2 night stay (B&B) in this hotel. Booking was straight forward and efficient. Pros: Hotel is set in a quaint, quiet, very small village, Austwick - 4 miles from Settle (bigger village) with lot of pubs and eateries. Garden in the hotel and eating area is great. Garden is well maintained. Played cricket with... More

Our original plan was a day out. We’d always wanted to try the Carlisle to Settle rail journey and we could easily manage there and back in a day. At 10.30pm, the night before we set out we thought, let’s stay somewhere. Trip Advisor’s No.1 hotel was our first choice; we called, nabbed the last room and packed for a... More

This is our second visit to the Traddock - first time round the weather was so appalling we cut short our stay - and so glad we came back. Had a fantastic time following a great walk around the waterfalls at Ingleton we had a relaxing glass of wine in the garden with our dog Rafferty who just loved the... More

We booked this hotel for 3 nights to celebrate 50 years together, after visiting with our daughter the previous winter and having afternoon tea in front of the roaring fire. This time in midsummer, the hotel was just as welcoming, in fact more so, because we made use of the lovely gardens as well. The welcome was warm, the staff... More

"Our job is to make things easy for you" . I may be paraphrasing but I'm sure you get the gist. From the initial booking to arrival and throughout our stay everything was done to make us feel welcome, happy and relaxed. I won't say "feel at home" because at home no one makes my bed while I enjoy a... More

An excellent hotel in a beautiful location. The customer service was excellent, but not overpowering. The room was very comfortable and nicely furnished. We would highly recommend it and are looking forward to our next visit.

It was a pleasure staying here this week with my family ...yes the hotel is to the standard expected (although wifi is a problem) with some lovely features and a great garden...however what made it stand out on our trip was the quality of service. The family /staff have a perfect balance of welcome, making suggestions to supporting ones comfort... More

An excellent hotel in a very good location which is convenient for touring the Yorkshire Dales and the southern part of the Lake District. The bedroom, food and staff could not be faulted. Highly recommended and we will stay there again

We are checking out of The Traddock now after a two day stay and we can thoroughly recommend staying at this beautiful hotel. We stayed in room 3 -The Oxenber, and have seen negative remarks on Tripadvisor for that room, but we found no faults - it was and old and quirky building and so the room, but all luxury... More

We have just had three lovely nights at the Traddock, good food, lovely room, friendly staff and a lovely view from our window. Comfortable and cosy and relaxing. Unpretentious but of a very high standard but bot snooty or posh.
