This trip was booked on the virtually unanimous opinions of fellow trip advisor reviewers...and can whole heartedly concur their reviews are spot on. everything about this delighful establishment ranked 110% in my humble opinion... the location, the quality of the scrupiously cleaned rooms the superb staff there, and the food was top notch! I was there to fulfill a disappointment... more

We were only able to spend one night here but found everything just right. In future we will plan our trips so we can stay longer. The room was very nicely finished and the dining room very well presented. Food was fantastic. Plenty of walking from this location and you can catch the Steam train to Pickering. Dont bother going... more

We spent 3 fantastic days at the Mallyan in late March, we so wished it could have been for longer but due to work commitments it had to be just a short break. Our room was beautiful with superb views accross Goathland and we were very lucky with the weather too! The room was so clean and very comfortable with... more

We did a last minute booking on the easter weekend and received a discounted tariff which i still believe was overpriced. I understand the town is a very touristic and given the other options in the village it is your best choice. After reading reviews concerning the church bells i was worried but we were situated at the front of... more

Stayed for one night bed and breakfast with my husband, booked through late rooms but only got it £10 cheaper than original price. We had a lovely clean comfortable room that was nicely decorated. We had a bar meal on the saturday evening as we did not book a table in the restaurant (which got really busy), the meal was... more

We booked Room 11, (junior suite with 4 poster) at a rate of £155.00 B & B for Valentine’s day. Room was fine, spacious, fabulous views and very comfortable. Dinner was good, if a little overpriced. Drinks and wine were a real gouge - £5.95 for a tiny Kir Royal, £6.20 for a 250ml glass of supermarket Shiraz! But all... more

I reply in response to the above review. All of our prices for our wines, champagne, beers etc are clearly marked in both of our bars. The wine starts at £3.75 per glass and of course increases depending on size and bottle. I can assure this guest and every other guest who may come into The Mallyan Spout that we...

Mallyan Spout Hotel in Goathland is a great getaway! Our family wanted a relaxing break and that is what we got! It is in a beautiful location with stunning views. Just across the road from the hotel is a fantastic walk in the hills. Down the road is the village where Heartbeat was filmed. A bit further down the road... more

Stayed here for one night, November 29th 2008. The Mallyan Spout is everything I hoped it would be when I booked it as part of a romantic weekend away in Yorkshire. Lovely, spotlessly clean room, excellent food (try the fillet steak - best I've had for many years), roaring log fires, homely, cosy. The church bells may bother some, I... more
