Stayed here over Aug Bank holiday and site was far too full, there were too many tents crammed in, as well as caravans, motorhomes etc and a large no of mobile homes. Disorganised booking system, queues for showers, toilets etc. waste bins overflowing. Very poorly maintained , grassed areas not cut and very wet and boggy after heavy rain. Owner... More

This site is in a great location and has a lot going for it, however there are minus points that other reviewers have mentioned and need taking into account. It is a large site, not very well maintained and good be great with a little more care and attention. There are a lot of static caravans and when we stayed... More

Went to campsite in August 2013 and it was a brilliant site. The toilet and shower block were always clean. Playpark for the kids was adequate. The local pub wouldn't allow us to eat outside (had dogs with us), so this was disappointing Well worth the visit, thanks

We stayed here from Friday 23rd to Monday 26th August. The site was in a nice location although no real views from where we pitched up. We went with several friends and pitched up near each other as we got there early. There are no set pitches as such, you are just asked to be sensible with the space you... More

Sunday lunch menu is limited and typically pub menu - no nod to gastro here. Food was ok, nothing special. Service was split down the middle - female staff attentive & got things right. Male staff kept getting the orders wrong & it became rather faulty towers like.

We booked the site through pitchup and decided to pay extra for electrical hook up, which as it turned out was a waste of time and money because when we arrived about 3.30 all the powered pitches (if you can call them pitches) had gone. The management seems totally disorganised apart from when they are taking your money. Instead of... More

It was only our second time camping in a two-man tent and we don't use electricity or anything but we were very pleasantly by this site. The staff were more than friendly at both the reception and the on-site pub. The site is very spacious and not overcrowded at all. It is very well-maintained and the grass is beautiful (possibly... Was shocked at the decline of this site since last visit in 2004 The whole site looks unloved and there is no consistence I guess owners are cutting bits of lawn but it leaves the rest looking a mess. The site isn't family friendly the facilities for children are rubbish. A shabby play area and that's it. The restaurant is... More
