Choosing a hotel or B&B can be a bit of a chore - so often it's a choice between comfort, class and charm. For once, however, you can have it all. Gothic house has just the right balance of whimsy and warmth, but above all it has that old "x factor". A place can be as perfect as you like,... more

Definitely the best B&B we've ever been! (And we know a few ones!) Clive Harvey is the perfect host and makes you feel at home from the very first moment. Both rooms are very spacious and wonderfully stylish, every detail lovingly chosen. The breakfast is excellent. We spent four nights there and would have loved to stay a lot longer.... more

Over the past 6 or so years I've had about 75-100 hotel nights per year. Gothic House was probably the best value for money of them all, even considering that it's a B&B and not a hotel. The house is very nicely decorated, the owner/manager extremely friendly and helpful and the room I stayed in, a spacious double bed room,... more

My family and I (including wife and baby boy) stayed in Gothic House for six nights in early June. I am a frequent business traveller and am used to professional, but non-personal hotels. Gothic House was the opposite - very personal, friendly and home-like. We really enjoyed our stay. It is not easy to travel with a baby boy, but... more

We spent a lovely weekend in Norwich and Gothic House was the perfect base. The service was attentive and a wonderful full breakfast was served in preparation for our day of shopping. The lovely rooms are spacious and confortable. The bathrooms are separate, but this caused no problem as there was a toilet next to the twin room we were... more

Having just spent a weekend at Gothic House, I have nothing but praise for the welcoming and warm proprietors and their luxuriously comfortable, beautifully decorated accomodation. We had the twin room on the top floor. The room is really spacious, the twin beds are just short of being doubles and every detail shows the proprietors' understanding of their guests' needs.... more

Gothic House is a great B&B, in the center of town but in a little hideaway. It's roughly a five minute walk to the cathedral, about the same to the main shopping areas. No car is needed to get around from Gothic House. Clive has done a great job with the place. I stayed in the room with one bed.... more

Gothic House is a stylish, comfortable and relaxing residence in a central location. Clive made us very welcome and gave helpful suggestions about places to visit, without being in any way intrusive. Breakfast was superb. more

Can a B&B be intimate, gracious, and urbane and at the same time be comfortable, smart and cheerful? We found all of that at Gothic House. My daughter and I spent four-nights during the first week of March visiting family in Norwich and found Gothic House to be perfect. At the end of a touring day the spotless baths were... more
