We booked Gothic house for a 3 night stay to do shopping and sightseeing around Norwich. What a lovely place Gothic house turned out to be, from the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. Nothing was of any trouble for the host Clive from greeting you upon arrival after a hard days shopping with fresh milk... more

Situated just off a busy road a stone's throw from the centre of delightful Norwich this upscale B&B is a haven of tranquility. The proprietor has great style which is reflected in the accommodation -- and he is extremely agreeable. Breakfast is great; the beds are comfortable and there are loads of little extra touches which make it an even... more

My pilrimage to the Norwich Beer Festival was greatly enhanced by my choice of accomodation - Gothic House is an oasis of Georgian civilisation in a conveniently central location. My host, Clive Harvey, keeps an immaculate house, adorned with fascinating Objets d'Art. The room was spotless, spacious and elegant, and was well equipped with with TV, teamaking kit plus biscuits and... more

What a find! A centrally located b&b in a quiet courtyard and with beautifully appointed rooms. Gothic House is a fascinating georgian building with a fine regency entrance worthy of a background to a Jane Austen novel! (However no trace of a Mr.Darcy was in the guest book!) The elegant bedroom was both spacious and comfortable and the quietness of... more

It is so difficult to know where to start with the superlatives at Gothic House, the building is just lovely, the secure car parking a great bonus but, enter the building and the magic begins. The decor has been carefully chosen to compliment the age and style of the house and there are marvellous little 'finds' at every turn. We... more

A friend and I spent a Saturday evening at Gothic House after a hard day's hiking in Norfolk. The experience was great from the start, the directions Clive (the proprietor) had sent us for walking from Norwich railway station were spot-on and he was there to greet us in person. The room was well -furnished and very clean, as was... more

We stayed at the Gothic House for 2 nights in September and can only echo all the positive reviews already recorded. Clive has lovingly restored and furnished his home in an elegant yet comfortable manner. Both guest rooms are beautifully appointed and every detail is as considerate of his guests as it is aesthetically pleasing. Clive is a wonderful host,... more

Lively conversation with Clive the owner and the short term loan of books about the city complimented our excellent two night stay in the large and airy double bedroom. The house and double room are well decorated and sympathetically furnished to match the Georgian origins of the house. The room has one easy chair, lots of cushions and fruit, buscuits... more

An elegantly decorated 3 storey historic house, close to the centre but off the street as it is behind a pub (which we thought might cause problems but did not) and has modern offices across the courtyard. Lots of interesting ornaments and pictures on display - definitely not child-proof. The bedroom was large, attractively furnished and well lit - partly... more

Believe me, you wont be disappointed, a very comfortable, interesting, beautifully decorated place to stay. Clive's attention to detail ensures a very pleasant time, we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights there. Car parking can be a little tricky so be sure to let Clive know your arrival is imminent. The other reviews say it all...........dont miss this treat more
