Awful Christmas Meal 2008 The whole Christmas Lunch a dreadful experience. Told there would be entertainment into the evening so booked at 1430 but when we arrived discovered they closed at 1630. Sea Bass unedible, informed waiter but nothing done. Paid for meal in full £130 prior to Christmas Day with meal selection as I cannot have alcohol. Still received... more

This is the worst hotel we have ever had the misfortune to stay in. The room was dirty and unhygienic. Even worse, the bathroom had no running water. When we complained in the morning the staff were rude and no other wash facilities were offered and yet they still charged us for the room. This is a “cowboy” set-up. Avoid... more

my partner and I stayed for one night to attend a works function. we decided to stay over as it was quite a distance to taxi home. according to their web page there was no rooms available. I gave them a call and spoke to a very polite woman who went through all the different rooms they had available, what... more

To cut to the chase: reasonable restaurant and the public parts of the hotel are fine. However, the rooms are not good value for money and have poor amenities - mine purported to be in the luxury category (cost: £76.60 + tax) but it only had a single 'sit up straight'-type chair and there was no desk. There is very... more

One visit to Caistor Hall was enough for my fiance and I to fall in love with it and book our wedding here! Before the wedding we ate here a couple of times and stayed for a night in a luxury superior room. The food is always exquisite and we just love that every room is different. The hotel is... more

I stayed at the hotel for a ball in mid may with my partner, upon arriving we were imediately impressed with the charm of the hotel. We went to check in to our room which was a lovely spacious, clean bedroom and ensuit. We came down later on after getting ready and the evening flowed really well, the staff were... more

Attended a wedding there and stayed over, the whole occassion was just perfect. The wedding was well organised, the staff were very friendly and were brilliant. The food at the wedding we couldn't find fault with and the accomodation was spacious, clean and comfortable. If I had to say one thing that we weren't completely happy with it would be... more

This hotel is plainly under bad ownership with the owner of the hotel being extremley rude and arguementative. Not what you would expect!!! The place is under staffed and looks as though inadequate training has been given. My stay was absolutley appauling, with severe plumbing issues in the bathroom and cleanliness levels low. The place hasnt got a star rating... more

Stayed here for a couple of nights for a friend's wedding. Arrived late and there was a ball in progress. The reception is right next to the bar so there were lots of ball guests loitering around generally getting in the way. There isn’t a lift, so we had to lug all our luggage upstairs by hand, and there was... more

We have taken up the offer for 2 for 1 meals in the past and had a lovely meal and evening but the last visit left alot to be desired. The dessert was hardly edible and the coffee was nothing more than coloured water. Having asked for fresh coffees - the second offering was not much better and the staff... more
