Welcoming, pleasant staff. Everything very clean including the loos which is always a happy discovery. Chose the Sunday roast. Unfortunately this was smothered in a thick, not very nice gravy. Noticed another reviewer had made this comment. Suggest amount of gravy be left to personal taste, ie serve some in a gravy boat.

It is a nice place, has a parking if you come by car, lovely staff, very nice and helpful, we had a nice breakfast and lovely stay. Rooms are clean and cosy, out bathroom was very big you could dance in it. The only problem was a noisy pipe probably from the kitchen ventilation system, first we though it was... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. Our bedroom was lovely-tastefully decorated, comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. Ben and Frank, the proprieters, made us very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the pub both nights and enjoyed the food; the portions were huge, even our 23 year old son struggled to finish his meal !! The location... More

Me and my girlfriend stayed for one night after a wedding, the pub is great for a few pints and the staff where very friendly, the car park was very full but there was a space saved for us, the room was small, in fact the bathroom was bigger but don't be put off, its a hell of a size... More

Only tea and coffee in room, no decaf options. Would have liked some bottled water. Was given four keys but no explanation which door they were for, so a lot of messing about getting back into building. Breakfast limited to full English + toast and jam. Tea or coffee, again no decaf. Both served in a cup, no teapot. Orange... More

The room was tidy and reasonably comfortable but there were too few sockets and what was there had extension leads plugged into them to make them accessible for the kettle and bedside lights. The shower was small with nowhere to put soap etc. and although two in the room only 1 glass for use. The breakfast was a fry up... More

Nice place inside, its so easy to walk or drive past without even noticing this place. Its dark inside, but do not be afraid to venture inside as its clean and comfortable and has nice friendly people. Atmosphere is nice and relaxed and service is good. I think some of the meals are a little highly priced, but the Sunday... More

Spent 3 nights here & was good. Parking a bit of a problem - car parked is absolutely jam packed but they did move a car when we arrived to make space for us. Room was clean & comfortable & the breakfast substantial - you won't want much lunch! would definitely stay here again.
