Having checked in I found the room. The room was cold, I closed the windows and turned the radiator on. As this did not warm I spoke to reception to be told there is no heating in that part, we're waiting for a part. I was not told this at check in nor was I told there was no lounge... More

The wedding reception I attended last Saturday was lovely but unfortunately towards the end of the evening the young bar staff were obviously bored because they decided to start throwing ice cubes at each other, bad enough, but when a flying ice cube hits a guest & the bride it's definitely not on! A mumbled apology & offer of a... More

Arrived for one night stay while hotel is having refurbishments. Felt for the receptionist as she was trying to cover the bar too. Had a drink in the bar first. Decor very dated and draught beer wasn't cold. Didn't fancy the car very so we ate out. Have to say room was very nice. Breakfast average (help yourself buffet) but... More

This is a lovely place for the occasion we had. The driveway is a hill and quite steep, you probably couldn't walk it. The hotel is very nice and has lovely scenery in he back gardens. Nice for weddings and short breaks (although we didn't see the hotel rooms). Food was nice and staff worked hard to attend to our... More

Only stayed for the night, not a bad stay but House keeping could be looked at as the bathroom could of been cleaner, Was some noise from a wedding down stairs but I was warned about this when placing the booking and stops around 12am.

It was good to see some refurbishment of the building but was dissapointed to hear that the wedding organisers were not informed of that a bar area had closed. It was a lovely... More

We've been staying at the Oaklands for the last 6 years, and always try to book the lodges for our stay... They're well appointed, comfortable and a nice touch when you're travelling around the country for weeks on end. Walking into a lodge, you're greated by a corner sofa, kitchenette area, big wall-mounted telly, separate bedroom and large bathroom. Underfloor... More
