Booked in for two nights B&B for a short break in Norwich - - This is a marvellous place to stay -- Friendly service, beautiful rooms, a great honesty bar to help yourself, and delicious breakfasts. If you ever wondered what 5 star rating accommodation really means then this is it! The Old Hall does not do lunch or evening... more

Friendly, charming and very welcoming. Cannot believe some of the reviews here. Wonder if they stayed in the same place as we did. Arrived quite late on Friday but we had no problems booking in. Very quiet suberb of Norwich. Excellent fresh breakfast with plenty of fresh fruit available. We were given good instructions on how to get into the... more

I booked this after reading previous reviews and this lovely detached house well deserves its' plaudits. The room was large enough to accommodate a massive desk, as well as a sofa, and the bathroom had dressing gowns as well as a selection of perfumes. Breakfast (haddock) was cooked to perfection, the enormous bed and soft pillows as comfortable as they... more

Absolutely out of this world - magnificent!!! The hotel was built in 1632, and has many of the original features - it is small - only 7 master bedrooms each with its own lounge (we were lucky enough to have a guided tour). The bedroom was sumptuous - the drawing room where we relaxed after helping ourselves from the honesty... more

We would like to record our delight to have stayed for a 2 day weekend at this excellent place. We had peace, quiet, beautiful room complete with four poster, jacuzzy, fresh coffee, tea, chocolate, bottled water, biscuits etc. tv, radio, fresh flowers and various books. The surrounding area is quiet and suburban, not quaint fields and babbling brooks. The house... more

A very fine Gentleman's Residence dated 1632 that would have been at one time surrounded by glorious countryside, but putting that aside, it's well worth the effort of finding. Once inside you are wanting for nothing - luxurious even sumptious decor, thoughtful and charming little extras...a teddy bear even! Food is of the highest quality and breakfasts are beautifully laid... more

We booked to stay for a family get together to celebrate a daughter's 21st birthday and we so thrilled with everything. The hospitality and efforts that Anthea and family had gone to...... the rooms, atmosphere, was all better than we had even imagined. The food was superb, that is the only word that comes to mind, and the wine list... more
