Stayed here for 2 nights. Arrived and was greeted by the owner who showed us around and to our room. The hotel is an historic building in a quiet residential area and has a lot of character and nicely decorated. The room was spacious and clean, with a large double bed (possibly 2 singles together but stayed joined). The room... More

2 nights stay in the Anna Sewell room. Large with four poster bed, dressing room, spacious bathroom and a riding crop!. Although on the edge of a residential suburb, we had a wonderfully peaceful room which overlooked a large and accessible garden. Beautifully appointed home with exposed beams in our recently refurbished room, mini bar/ fridge, in room tea/coffee/ water... More

We recently stayed at Catton Old Hall for a short break. The house is lovely but it is on a residential housing estate. A local pub was recommended for dinner. This was a short drive away. Apart from this there is nothing else locally. The room was beautiful although quite chilly. The control on the radiator didn't seem to work... More

Stayed for four nights, on our first trip to this area. Hotel located on outskirts of Norwich, a short distance to city centre. Small hotel, old building, with plenty of character. Good room, high standard of facilities, cleanliness excellent. Good beakfast, well looked after by Paula, a very pleasant Manager, who could not do too much for you. Enjoyed out... More

I have often driven past this historic house built in 1632 over the years but the Easter weekend stay was a real treat. From luxury bedding to the homemade flapjacks and shortbread on the tea tray, nothing was too much trouble for the lovely owners and staff. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Thankyou

Historical building with fascinating past. Friendly owners but not intrusive. High standard of cleanliness and good facilities. Quirky Georgian interior. Not far Fromm Norwich Airport in one direction and Norwich City Centre in the other.

I stayed 1 night will my brother for a family event. Very Beautiful B&B inside and out with large room and period feel. Helpful owners and a good breakfast in the morning. We had a room on the top floor which was impressive. My bed wasn't good though, far too soft and barely got 2 hours sleep. Everything else was... More

This trip was a present and it was lovely to be in great surroundings at someone else's expense! The room was beautifully decorated and the new owners have done a great job so far of bringing the hotel up to date in a sympathetic style for the age of the house. A little strange not to meet the owners but... More

We stayed there over the weekend..Norwich is a wonderful city for spending time shopping, mooching around and eating. I found Catton old Hall online and phoned up.. Spoke to Paula, a lovely friendly lady who advised us to try a newly decorated room downstairs. I went for that.. On arrival we were greeted by Pauline and shown to the room..... More

We stayed for two night as part of a 'Unique Place' to stay and it was! Beautifully restored and tastefully decorated. Nicola gave us a great welcome and showed us to the spacious ground floor St Margaret's room which was lovely, comfortable and has a level access shower! She gave us directions to a local pub for our evening meal... More
