My Husband booked this as a surprise for my birthday whilst we over that way visiting family. We love how the rooms are all named after local famous people and We stayed in the 'Anna Sewell' room.. It was the most beautiful room I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. There is a gorgeous dressing room upon entering... More

A little bit disappointed , we stayed in the Sir Edward Berry room , got back this morning. On arrival we were greeted by a guy, in a pair of jogging bottoms and T Shirt , which surprised me, but wasn't to bothered, just didn't think it was the expected dress code . Anyway when we were shown are room... More

We spent two nights at Catton Hall in a room in the eaves. The owners have an environmentally friendly policy which is commendable but sadly this included limiting the amount of time per day that the heating was on! We put on the electric fire to warm the room up but this triggered the fire alarm - so we did... More

Stayed last night and was pleasantly surprised by the standard of the accommodation we were in the ground floor, st Margarets room with the private courtyard . The bedroom is well decorated modern clean and the bed was very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast is cooked fresh to order and was well presented . My only minor grumble is the... More

This is an amazingly decorated bed and breakfast one of the best we have stayed in. The 4 poster room we had was very tasteful and well worth the money. Could not fault the breakfast which had a lot of alternatives to full english. The staff were very welcoming and friendly we will most definitely be returning again.

We stayed here for two nights with friends. On first appearance the rooms were nicely decorated and comfortable. Nice touches offering fresh milk to put in fridge over UHT milk, option to select different breakfast from full English if ordered in advance. In wardrobe spare blanks, small radiator and fan, if hot. This property is a beautiful old property surrounded... More

Excellent trip, very clean and beautiful rooms. Breakfast was lovely and the staff very friendly. Only slightly let down by the bathroom, it didn't compliment the standard of the rooms and ours was faulty only providing hot water. 20 mins walk to a lovely restaurant/pub the woodman.
