This hotel is ideally situated to explore Norwich. Previous reviewers have commented on the high standard of food at this hotel and I would agree. It is however noisy in the morning from about 6 AM onwards, it being situated at the junction of two major routes into the city centre. Norwich is an interesting destination , a medieval city... more

I stayed here with my elderly mother last week and found the staff very professional and friendly. The woman on reception happily changed our rooms for ground floor rooms as my mother couldn't manage the stairs that well, The rooms were spotless but the decor could really do with updating, it was old fashioned,, but not in a good, antique... more

I've stayed at Annesley House on several occasions on business trips to Norwich. In this regard the hotel is ideal being easily accessible to the City centre yet retaining some character. I'd recommend it to anyone on this basis. There is a very good breakfast. more

Stayed for two nights on business. The things I liked were: 1) The food is EXCELLENT, totally unexpected but 1st class. 2) Free WiFi, almost no other hotels I've been in have this. 3) Friendly, professional staff. 4) Bed was very comfortable. Things I didn't like: 1) Room decor was a bit dated and didnt have very good in room... more

We stayed in the building which was separate from the reception. The rooms were lovely, although slightly dated, it was clean and "shabby chic" as we call it! when we checked in reception we were greeted with a friendly welcome. The gardens are beautiful! we spent most of the afternoon in them, as the weather was stunning. the locaton is... more

When planning a business trip to Norwich, you'd think there'd be a wide range of choice for accomodation? Not really surprisingly! I'll keep looking, most the villages, towns and cities I visit have one or two 'gems' hidden.......as for Norwich....need to keep looking I'm afraid. Location is ok, a short walk from the tacky end of town.....you walk past poundland,... more

Loved the hotel. The room i was staying in was in a separate building from the reception and breakfast room. It was like a separte house. You had a front door key and the key to your room so still very seucre. The staff were great :-) Breakfast was lovely. It was a really nice breakfast room too. Hotel was... more

Stayed here 1 night. Guy on reception great - friendly and helpful. Large room clean - but very very dated..must be 20 years since decorated. Eat in conservatory. It was very cold. Food - not sure. The guy on the next table marveled at this. I had the goats cheese tartlet..very nice. but the main course of baked cod was... more
