My husband and I are natives who live in Norwich but thought we would like a night away from home to de stress. My husband made the booking on and online booking site, showing there were many rooms available. On arrival we were greeted with bewildered looks from what I assume was the reception duty manager, telling us we had... More

We enjoyed a very nice lunch (a Travelzoo offer) in the WInepress. Quite a reasonable choice on the menu and very substantial. We had a glass of cava in the bar area until our meal was ready in the restaurant which is a very attractive area. We were looked after extremely well by our waitress and will certainly hope to... We have stayed here twice now. I love that every room is different. A very small room with no view the first time & a Suite the second which was pretty amazing.Reception couldn't have been more helpful both times & the position of the hotel is great for everything. Breakfast has been time consuming on both occasions. 1st time waited... More

Great location and had a great nights sleep, but was not impressed with staffing. Nothing worse than being kept waiting at reception whilst staff finish a personal conversation and the night porter not only failed to book an early morning call but charged for bottle of wine not a glass. There also appeared to be a shortage of staff serving.... More

Stayed here mainly due to the central location, i was a bit worried it would be noisy but slept soundly (we had requested a quiet area prior to arriving, which we where given) We never ate here but restaurant looked lovely, we did however go to the bar which had one of (if not the best) wine selection i have... This hotel was booked for a business trip so not one I'd chosen myself and was mainly chosen for the location which was ideal. I thought the hotel looked a bit dated from the outside but guessed that it was to fit in with the culture of the city and overlooked this. However, the inside of the hotel was also... More

This hotel has some amazing historical parts - your may have to ask to be let in to the old bar and reception area which are fantastic - the staff are more than willing to give you a little tour even at breakfast time. We had a modern room - and while it overlooked a view of the historic Norwich... More

we stayed in one of the suite and it was lovely, with wooden beams and a massive four poster bed. The room was a good size and overlooked the cathedral. There was some noise from the hotel corridors and outside but it was easily ignored. We didn't eat in the hotel because there are so many cafe's and restaurants around... More
