Stayed for two nights. Room was in the newer section of the building looking out onto car park and away from the road. Room was a good size, king-size bed, well equipped & quiet. Hotel is perfectly placed for the tourist, walking distance to cathedral, riverside, market, shops etc. Breakfast selection is good, we ate in the restaurant for dinner... more

Stayed overnight for a family wedding. The room was comfortable, but small, but the bathroom large. If you want a quiet room ask for one facing the inner courtyard. Obviously not much of a view. The old part is a bit of a rabbit warren, but has a certain charm. It's situation is excellent for the cathedral and central Norwich.... more

Stayed in this hotel with my wife for three nights. Our room was on the small side but was clean and tidy. Food (breakfast and dinner) was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful and the location was second to none. We like it so much we are taking a coach trip fo 48 people there in October more

We stayed for 3 nights and were allocated one of the feature rooms - Ranworth Suite. This was just luck as we had just booked a double room. It is a great room with a huge 4 poster bed and sitting area. The bathroom was fabulous. The downside (if i had to be picky )was that the room had air... more

We had out Wedding reception at the Maids Head on 22nd May and the service received (particularly from Rob Carr) was fabulous, we could not fault the friendly staff, the help received or the value for money. The bridal suite was fantastic and so were the rooms my parents stayed in. All of our guests had a fantastic time and... more

More detials to follow- but just a quick post to say that the Maids Head Hotel and particularly Rob Carr (Duty Manager) and his team did a fantastic job last Saturday hosting our wedding reception. Just waiting to get some photos together to show how excellent it all was, and we will update this post soon! more

This hotel was recommended to us as it is within easy walking distance of a party we were attending last weekend. The first room I let myself into turned out to be already occupied, and the following morning we didn't have the time, nor the inclination, to queue, along with 15 other people, before being allowed into breakfast. This place... more

Rooms are OK but they seem to have no idea about providing a service. We were ordered to go from the bar to the restaurant by some bossy waiter and then we waited for over 50 minutes to get something to eat. The cook/chef (?) managed to get undercooked and overcooked onto the same plate and then offered poultry on... more

The rooms were comfortable, the staff helpful and any requests for special dietary requirements were met without any fuss. Nothing was too much trouble for the duty manager and was able to help when needed whilst being discreet. Food was good and the location was perfect for visting the historic sites and churches both in the town and further afield.... more
