Having visited Dunstan Hall 29 times over a number of years, our recent stay was excellent. A friendly welcome followed by good food and excellent service was followed by a pleasant round of golf. The reviews of 2005 are completely out of date. Much refurbishment has taken place and it's now a very good venue. more

Don't be fooled by the pictures - This isn't a luxury Country House hotel. What it is, is a mass Conference, Banqueting, Golfing Hotel, clothed in good looking pseudo tudor brickwork with a decent spa. Food is mass catering, but staff efficient. Biggest problems are the iffy heating/ventilation and the high prices for drink and food .. Apart from breakfast... more

We booked a special rate, 2-night break and arrived with an open mind, but slightly wary after reading some other reviews. The staff were all welcoming, friendly and helpful. There wasn't any soap in the bathroom but reception immediately found some for us and apologised for the oversight. There was plenty of choice on the breakfast buffet and we found... more

Booked in for one night on a trip back from brighton. Loads of parking, efficient reception servfice and room had that touch of luxury about it. Used the bar and resturant in the evening and the public areas all warm and friendly. Did see some comments about the hotel being cold, but was definatly not the case when we stayed.... more

We have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at Dunston Hall, we used the spring Break deal and really found it great value, we had three seperate bookings and they made sure we were located on the same floor, even though one party only came for 2 days and the rest were there for 4 days, lovely staff, nice... more

Took advantage of Spring offer for 2 nights & stayed in enormous four poster room with it's own spa bath. Thought the location was excellent for seeing Norfolk & staff were very helpful & friendly. Main criticism was a Ball going on in the room below us which was ok as not too noisy & ended at 1AM, however, was... more

You have to wonder why such a 'fantastic' hotel is constantly offering deals on their rooms... well, we should have known better. Poor rooms, below average food, rude staff. We first stayed at Dunstan hall in late November 2008. It was seriously one of the most disappointing hotel stays my partner or I have experienced. Sadly, approaching the beautiful building... more

Visited with some friends for a one night golf break. Weather was superb which naturally makes one much happier. Wonderful building and approach up the long driveway. Golf course was in excellent condition, we played two rounds and the course is outstanding for a hotel, great greens and well maintained. Location is good, just off the Norwich by-pass so easy... more

We booked the De-Vere special offer 2 nights Bed & Breakfast with Dinner on the 1st night. After seeing some of the reviews we arrived with some in trepidation. The welcome from reception was warm and courteous and all the staff we meet after that where polite and friendly. The room was large enough, clean and the bed was comfortable.... more

Amazing, period property and extensive, beautiful grounds, very good golf course, if you play, we dont. Some problems with what had booked re.room and various issues re.room and in hotel, did get some sorted, however far from ideal. Bear in mind this is one of the De vere 's deluxe hotels. Fitness and spa facilities and staff great, the Lilac... more
