Our family had dinner this evening at the Ugly Bug it was excellent from arrival to departure. We sat in the comfortable bar area to have a drink, the extensive menu was presented to us to review, our order was taken and we were shown to our table when the food was ready to serve. Thank you for a great... More

Cosy, clean and a fab staff..this B&B and pub has it all! The Ugly Bug Inn was the perfect accommodation for a relaxing weekend in the country. Our room was spacious, clean and cosy -- I was very impressed with the suite we stayed in! The staff was very proactive in making sure we were comfortable and were having a... More

The food is excellent, there is a great range of choice and lots of things are locally sourced. I rarely eat vegetables in a restaurant as I am very picky about how they are cooked but here they are cooked to perfection. The hosts are very welcoming but if you're not a fan of the Fawlty Towers humour maybe best... More

The Ugly Bug is a bit remote - you wouldn't want to walk there in the winter - but I am told that John, the owner, is usually happy to drop diners back at Barnham Broom ( where we stayed ) after dinner. The pub itself is a delight. The staff were friendly, humorous and helpful. The food was excellent... More

We have just come back from a weekend in Norfolk staying at the Uggly Bug Inn. The room was immaculate and cozy in line with the traditional feel of the Pub and Restaurant. We had a very nice quiet meal with outstanding attention of all the staff. The food was brilliant and my Husband is still telling the world about... More

I'm not one to generally review or even complain - I just pay up and get on with it. However, we recently went for a meal with friends to The Ugly Bug. I have been before and thoroughly enjoyed my meal, but this time was different. The waiter was somewhat unfriendly and perhaps dutiful at most. Our starters and mains... More

Just had 3 nights at the ugly bug inn and as always it provides the home comforts you enjoy when being away from home. The food is excellent with such a varied menu you wouldn't get bored even if you stayed for a week. The portions are huge, the food is wholesome and tasty. The rooms are immaculate and the... More

Absolutely fantastic choice of venue to celebrate our Mums Birthday. Food was excellent in presentation and quality and both owners and staff were lovely too - especially as we had 3 children under the age of 3 in our party. Will definitely be visiting again - absolutely first class.

Warm welcome with friendly hosts and great accommodation. An added bonus is the restaurant with imaginative food and a good range of beers and wines. Would certainly like to return and will highly recommend.

We went with a couple of friends on a Saturday night. The menu choices were very varied and extensive. It was really difficult to choose! The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Good range of real ales. Will definitely go back. The owners are lovely and all staff very attentive. Alfie the dog is great too!
