I stay here for two nights, during August 2014. The rooms are very tried with peeling paint work in the bathroom and the bedroom carpet all rucking up. My room smelt like an old peoples home, that stale urine smell. The bar food was just that, a throw back to the 1980's only just one step up from sausages in... More

Have stayed at the bluebell for a week whilst my husband was training. I loved it. The rooms were spotlessly clean, the food was value for money. I loved the character of the lodge which takes you back to an era I was not born. I am used to staying in some nice places...I loved the bluebell for its old... More

We stayed at the blue bell a few weeks ago. We were impressed with the hotel. Rooms were lovely, comfy and clean. We had breakfast and lunch food was really nice and very good value for money. Staff were very pleasant and approachable. We would definitely stay again.

I was greeted with a warm welcome by the receptionist. She was very polite and could not do enough for us. We had several meals in the restaurant during our stay and the food was very high in quality and reasonably priced. All the staff made us feel part of their family during our 3 day stay and we would... More

My Aunty booked this place for my grandma's funeral as it is conveniently close to the crematorium. The buffet they put out was below average with just sandwiches, pork pie and quiche to choose from. Not even the classic crab stick or cocktail sausage made an appearance! Two pints of Greene King IPA beer, warm and as a result poor.... More

This is a very poor hotel. I always find that hotels with pubs on the side of them altho the pub may seem conveinent seem to leave the hotel side to rot instead of focusing on the full business. As a former mystery shopper which included pubs and hotels in the line of work, I would not recommend this to... More

this is the worst hotel and pub in the local area. since sean n andrea the arrogant came in the customer is always wrong, what i find best is that a review written on here was from a staff member why not just address the problem direct instead of poor shoddy managing techniques on tripadvisor and the post about telling... On reading the reviews I really wasn't expecting much, if anything, but it was the cheapest place to stay on such short notice. Anywhere is better than no-where. I honestly can't see what anyone had to complain about. The reception staff on check in and check out where lovely and chatty, very helpful. Booked as a room only stay to... More
