This place really knows how to take customers for granted ,try going there on a Sunday lunch time if you enjoy standing at the bar and not being served or perhaps you enjoy wine but find it difficult to make a choice , no problem , no choice , hopeless management , understaffed what an embarrassment

The staff were lovely and helpful. The room was small but adequate and quite clean apart from the giant burn mark in the bath! The bed was small and uncomfortable. The pub played loud music until 12pm. This hotel was only chosen for it's location. Perhaps slightly overpriced for what it is.

My room and bathroom were clean and well maintained. Shower very good which I like and the bed was very comfortable. The bar and dining room are a bit tatty and outdated so could use some refurbishing and updating. Pub food was fine and reasonable price. Breakfast had lovely bacon , freshly cooked but the 1 poor waitress was overwhelmed... More

Came to this hotel for a function and must say I feel that my friend who had organised it had been ripped off on the money he paid for such a small room. Not enough chairs for the amount of people there (which wasn't a lot) , very cramped & definitely not worth the money. Waited at an empty bar... More

This hotel lies just off the A174 close to the A19 so great place to pull over fir a one night layover.Literally right off the carriageway to the front door. Stayed here a few times. The old part of the hotel is pretty disgusting with dated rooms and decor but the newly decorated rooms I have to say are very tasteful... More

I stayed for one night to work at James Cook Hospital the following day (5mins drive away). The room was large and well appointed with a very comfy bed and good shower. The staff were friendly and helpful and the pub attached was very popular with non-residents as well as hotel guests, probably due to the good atmosphere and delicious... More
